  1. So simple to do. Did you have any problems with the flanges rubbing on the brake shoes? I have had a few touching on my ironstone hoppers and all of the brake vans that I have done (these are fairly easy to thin as they pull out). Have to agree that the liveries are so appealing... resist, resist.
  2. is sorting out some badly put together Parkside kits, I mean, how do you put the brake shoes on the wrong way round?

  4. That's a great way to ensure you get plenty of operating space at exhibitions... The layout looks so much bigger in the photos in the thread, looks superb whatever. (I certainly wouldn't be smiling if there was a seagull above my layout... )

Fair point Paul I'm with you on that. Beast you really should make an effort in December at Darlington to dress quite naff in a bright coloured tie, that really will mess with his head!

  6. So, you're sneaking sly 5's in just like I am...
  7. I agree with GN (edit - and Phil) just a bit of rough grass and some track debris, perhaps some heaps of dirty/used ballast.
  8. Hobgoblin and last nights Radcliffe & Maconie, what's not to like?

  10. They havn't already? :D I've got them to add to Felton Lane and Greyscroft Mine, although the ones I have are C&L they will no doubt be just as fiddly... Thanks for the reminder that in an ideal world they should be greased, yes, this should make them more obvious and you will not have wasted your time after they blend in
  11. This is getting silly...

  12. last nights Radcliffe & Maconie...

  13. I heard that some one had bought 'Ganger Fred' one of them key rings that bleep when you whistle, only problem is he can't whistle and when a 20 went past it bleeped ok but the noise of the engine drowned it out... :D
  14. It's not for liquid (are they the diesel tanks on the left?) but powder, liquids don't need the hopper on the bottom, could it be for sand?
  15. Sorry, don't know what this means... Looking fantastic... is it Slaters stone?
  16. 'Wheeltappers Live' at Manchester this afternoon, Andy Y and myself still don't know what the banks did with the money...

To the land of Nod with the talking sleeping bags!

  19. Very nice buildings and I agree that there is no need to complete all the trackwork before scenic work begins, a change of job every now and then helps keep you sane , as long as you are sure that you won't need to re-align any of it later on! Keep up the good work.
