  1. Mine has been ordered although I was a bit confused by the website saying something like 'can only be bought on a payment plan' and it wouldn't let me add it to my basket - until I signed into my account and then it did allow me to order it.
  2. Now, to my eyes, there's something wrong with the Cambridge North diagram. Down at the bottom, the lower two lines are down goods and down reception. But where's the up goods? It should between those two mentioned. And the exit from the down yard to the down goods was a crossover, not as shown leading into what was the up goods.
  3. Well, that's saved me plenty of pennies. I mainly model BR blue but got the Hattons 66789 as I liked it and of course it's in BR blue. But i have no need for anymore 66's.
  4. Sorry to put a spanner in the works, but in the top photo showing the Limit of Shunt markers, the left-hand one shouldn't be there. A LoS marker means absolute stop for everything and so wouldn't appear on a running line in the direction of travel.
  5. I see that the Regional liveried one is a class 144. What's the difference between the two classes?
  6. You beat me hands and feet down there Andi. I know you have an awful lot of HAA's, far more than my measly 29.
  7. I have a home-based one in my spare bedroom but the big one is Whitedown Jn, approx 20 feet square (search FB or YouTube). So the majority of the stock will be for that.
  8. I've just done the survey and have found (because I had to add up my stock) that I have far too much rolling stock. Over 500 wagons alone!
  9. Do we even need sprung buffers on any stock? In my 60+ years of 'playing trains', I cannot recall any buffers touching.
  10. Now that's very interesting. I'll have to have a closer look and see if there's anything fouling the bogies.
  11. The only problem with my Deltic is with the track it runs on LOL. I suspect the wheel flanges are so fine so any unevenness in the track derails it.
  12. Ideally, there should be a trap point at the exit of the goods shed/siding. But I understand your space constraints, so we'll assume there is one (I assume the same on my home layout where necessary). So. Yes, you can have an imaginary home signal off stage to the left, the clearing of which would give permission for the train to pull into the station up to your Dapol signal. As its a single line, assumption must also be made that the line is clear to the next signalbox or passing loop - whatever. So yes, go ahead with your thinking.
  13. And with these new high fidelity models comes a problem with our less-than-perfect layouts. I personally find the A/S 55 and the Realtrack 156 need absolutely perfect track as, I think, the wheel flanges just too fine. Yes, to scale maybe but the slightest imperfection in the track and off they come. Interestingly though, the 92 seems okay.
  14. No help to you what-so-ever but I used to work in the TOPS office there. Never took note or photos of the trackplan though.
  15. Just had an email from Kernow saying they had forgotten to turn off the pre-order button for 37001 and that my order has been cancelled. Bother! Will have to wait for the next batch - or buy the Bachmann one instead.
  16. Thanks for the heads up. Have just pre-ordered 37001 with sound. Was late to the party when these were first announced.
  17. I noticed on Wednesday that Meld had come back into stock, so I ordered it - and it arrived Thursday! What service! Not had it out of the box yet as waiting for the sound chip and speaker to come.
  18. Originally it wasn't robust enough and myself and Marcus were invited to go and stress test a Nelevator at their premises, which we did. Loading it up with many heavy Bachmann locos, we eventually managed to 'break' it, resulting in the company changing some of the specs.
  19. Yes, I have a 6 foot OO one - I actually paid for two (in full) although I haven't received the second one, and from what I can fathom, things are not too good at that company.
  20. As I said in my post, it was there Monday (30th May 2022). Cannot say if it's in working order though.
