If something fails, I usually blame the instructions. Not that I've read them.

  4. One thing that really rerally really irritates me about shopping, is when the shop arbitrarily changes its internal arrangement, so meaning extra time is spent in an environment I want to be out of.

BT Openreach upgraded the local infrastructure to allow ISP's to bring faster broadband a couple of months back. My usuable quick broadband has now slowed down to a crawl with frequent downtime. Not impressed!!!

  14. I have worked out that mu model of 5532, small prairie that I origonally built in 1976, has had a longer working life than the real one, built 1928, scrapped 1962. OK, I know it has been resurrected, but it's an interesting comparison.

    1. Mikkel

      Mikkel

So the question is: Is your model now more real than the prototype?!

  15. Why is it that some people expect to be spoon fed? I get fed up with those who expect others in Eforum land to give them the answer, and are not prepared to put themselves out in any way, shape, or form. An example is not prepared to go and look.

There are some who feel they are above advice and merely label those helping as "interfering know-it-alls" - these are the people who actually need the advice more than anyone.

For some reason, I'm reminded of a train journey home from work some years back.

I was talking to an English teacher - and commented that she probably wasn't too keen on some of the words used by some of her pupils.

Her reply was telling - an evil grin, plus a comment: "At least I know how to SPELL them!"

      Can't argue with that.
