I have worked out that mu model of 5532, small prairie that I origonally built in 1976, has had a longer working life than the real one, built 1928, scrapped 1962. OK, I know it has been resurrected, but it's an interesting comparison.

Why is it that some people expect to be spoon fed? I get fed up with those who expect others in Eforum land to give them the answer, and are not prepared to put themselves out in any way, shape, or form. An example is not prepared to go and look.

Spent today at a motor bike show. The majority of people I saw were my age, like the age profile at Model Railway exhibitions. Conclusion? Only middle aged people can be bothered to go to shows.

For some reason, I'm reminded of a train journey home from work some years back.
I was talking to an English teacher - and commented that she probably wasn't too keen on some of the words used by some of her pupils.
Her reply was telling - an evil grin, plus a comment: "At least I know how to SPELL them!"
Can't argue with that.
