  2. Tracing a short circuit - about as much fun as shaving with a chainsaw.

  3. Solder feeds to track first or fix track to Baseboard? - It's been a while! (But hey, I've had trains running!)

  4. There's power in the shed! - it's only taken however long it was since I last posted... \o/\o/

Will that be the end of the modelling then?

Cheers all - certainly not the end of the modelling, work has taken place on Tarring Neville this week - slow going, but will be worth it!

  6. Has just seen Dave Lee Travis declare on Channel 4 News that he is planning to take over the world. Erk :D

Noel Edmonds better be worried, I still think DLT hasn't forgiven him for that 'Gotcha' all those years ago...

From hairy cornflake to megalomaniac. That's quite a step up ;)

  7. Albrighton, Fellani, Rodwell, Arteta, Wilshire. That midfield should be enough to get us into Europe.... - it could be a long night of Football Manager ;)

  8. 6 packets of seed, planted at the same time. The only one to show any life so far? Pansy 'Beaconsfield'. That's a good omen for the new season, that is! :D

Sounds like an Enid Blyton character

  9. Instrument shelf completed - might actually be nearly ready to start building the signal box itself by the weekend!

  10. Made the most of a working internet connection last night to re-introduce myself to Ian's Vanfare for the Common Man topic on old RMWeb. Trip to the Garden Centre in Halland needed today, so it wouldn't be too much of a diversion to pick up a couple of Parkside kits in Uckfield on the way home....

Very much so Ian! - Unfortunatley, none in stock today, so it will have to wait a couple of weeks

  11. What is this I see before me? - Is it a properly working (well, 3G, but it's better than the dialup speeds of late anyway!) internet connection?!?! \o/\o/\o/

  12. This slower than dialup internet is still doing my head in. Still, worked long enough for me to order a couple of bits for Tarring Neville...!

Ours here peaks at just 767kbps on a good downhill day with a following wind. The same set up at our old address was 7.8MBPS. We now call it 'skinnyband'...

  13. And lo, it came to pass, that DS would spend a second summer organising a fete for Hailsham Town FC.... If you're interested, read about it at http://goo.gl/JiIjs

  14. New PC now in new cottage, with new internet connection. Shed arrives Thursday - all ready for the new layout!

  15. terrific 4-0 away win for Hailsham Town! Shane gets his fourth hatrick of the season!

  16. 3-2 home defeat for the Stringers in a game that had it all - argh, so close!

  17. Deposit paid, move date agreed - wow! - very, very happy

  21. Long time no see... - Life is awesome :)

  22. There was. JML have a rack in most Focus stores. Pleased to report that aside from a useful-looking jigsaw type thing and the 'screw removers' (read wreckers, but they do work...), it's mostly all utter junk
  23. Heh, just re-read it. Oops 4 year olds and coffee don't mix, I imagine Should be fun anyway!
  24. Morning all - quick life update Another 'scorcha' in Sunny Sussex, and I've got the day off. Taking the new G/F into town to buy shoes for her daughter, and then we are going to Rockies (an indoor soft play area type place) where she can run around, and we can drink coffee).
  25. Hazard - Richard Marx has just finished. Song For Whoever - The Beautiful South next up.
