  1. Those 92’s look great. Just a side note, they should run with the rear pan raised unless running with a car train (stops carbon from the pan landing on the cars). Can’t wait till layout shows are up and running again. ps I was a 92 driver when I was at ews/db and still miss driving them.
  2. Have you thought of putting the cats behind graffiti on that use to be on many walls and fences back the, I heard it was a midlands member of staff that did it.
  3. That's the general logo not rfd
  4. The first picture of the hst passing the depot is outstanding.
  5. When I first started on the railway in 1990, I visited Kingsbury many times and it was pairs of 31's on the tanks up until the 60's took over. The 47's run single on the tanks to be worth and the green circle multiple working was fitted around 93/94 when I was working at Washwood Heath sidings. Phillips Imperial was one of the 31's in petroleum colours I remember seeing on the Kingsbury tanks.
  6. Are you going to be at the rmweb show in Coventry on the 13/14th sept?
  7. Great pics Jim, bone to pick time. Where's the pic of my 323 that past you at Bescot before the 57/37 combo . I always wonder when passing a colas loco if you're on it, now I know you was lol.
  8. Looking good as always, love the weathering on 40141.
  9. Loving the layout, 08805 is a good choice. I had one done in railfreight too as I use to shunt at washwood Heath yard with this loco from time to time.
  10. I hope all is ok in the Daniels as it seems a bit quiet here.
  11. The mortar was just the powders mixed, they were emptied with air pressure and it would clump up in the tank making it hard to shift. They have around 8 serviceable tank out of 16 I believe. They trialled running the tanks away from the stone train and were looking at running with 10 tanks but ended up with 2 back on the stone train. It was the only booked 60 work at rugby until there run down. The jga wagons were a lot better than the iia's that replaced them.
  12. The rake with the TTA wagons was the service to Bletchley and they would be loaded with premixed mortar, I worked this train for 8 years when based at rugby and the tanks were a right pain to unload.
  13. I think your work is great, including the what if 60's. On the red stripe 60, I think it would have looked better with the black numbers under the drivers window and would like to see it without the red stripe which I think would suit it better too. Just thoughts, glad you're being kept busy, the bg looks great. Wayne
  14. As an ex shunter, I would drop of the loaded tanks before picking up the second set of empty tanks to save some shunting moves and a mouthful from the driver for the extra work (trying to get his early finish) lol.
  15. 60's have been used on many trains with air operated doors, but they do have poor compressors compaired to 66's.
  16. I can see more locos losing the nrn pods as the system is fazed out with gsmr taking over. Good spot though as it's something you normally never take notice of.
  17. The 313 would be a hard project for now. I'm enjoying your work but would like the red and blue of the 80's.
  18. Part fitted trains ran into the early 90's, don't forget the mermaids made by flangways (I think the company is called) althought these are quite dear. Most vac brake wagons for engineers trains moved to Scotland in the late 90's early 2000's. just remember not to put a 56 on the front of dogfish as they have not vac brakes lol
  19. Nice to see you've found that peak you was looking for. Great work as always, merry Christmas.
  20. Great work on 37035. What loco will you be doing next?
  21. The container flats could moving to/from repairs or just spares being relocated.
  22. Concrete sleepers are mainly only use for the main line even with wooden ones for point work. Some yards that have been relayed within the last 10/15 years have had concrete reused from the mainline eg forders sidings between bletchley and bedford and most of wembley yard.
  23. i enjoyed your old layout and was trying to find where it had gone, looking forward to the new one!
