Trouble with the CBF is that the engines were evolved from the Hornet, not direct from the CBR, and the Hornets were notoriously thirsty. CBF's also notoriously dull.

      To continue . . .

Price, age and mileage is not necessarily a guide to the worth of a bike. For instance, I once bought a Honda NX650 that had been ridden to the UK from Australia, having originally been a Portuguese model! No one would touch a bike with a history like that so I was able to buy it for next to nothing, but it turned out to be one of the best bikes I ever owned.

Don't judge a book by its cover.

I used to work at a dealership with all four francises. Kawasaki had more warranty claims than the other three combined. Honda had fewest (they didnt get to be the biggest manufacturer in the world by accident) Yamaha are the most innovative manufacturer, but they dont always get it right.

ZZR's notorious for poor oil-feed to the top end. Also cush-drives known to have short lives. Avoid!

Go for the CBR600 every time!

  6. Something to consider as you sit down to tea. I'm just sanding around the toilet bowl prior to fitting some tiles. Need it to air a bit first though..... Enjoy your meal!

  7. I am very annoyed with myself. The Bachmann Toad brake van, which I've invested a good 8 hours worth of modelling time in, hit the floor this afternoon during painting due to a f***ing wasp flying down my shirt front. I got stung in the process and have a smashed Toad. The wasp was killed!! Very cross.

  8. Is it just me, or is there a preponderance of threads where folks are just spoiling for an argument?

I realised a while ago that there are people on here who go out of their way to cause or take offence.

  12. So what I thought was a failed crank end seal on my Suzuki GT250 turned out to be the neutral selector seal, 2 bolts, no engine out and split crank case = result, more time for the railway.
