  1. Really enjoyed reading Hornby magazine this afternoon, Parker's guide on the 57xx was rather useful.

  2. Has just spent the day with year 1 (5&6 Year olds) and is totally exhausted! Thank god I've got Year 5 in September, at least they can work independently for more than 30 seconds!

Who are these Foundation Children? Are they off-spring of Asimov? And what is this KS2? (sounds like a Dr Who mechanical dog!)

      Brinkly

Right Foundation is what most Reception classes are called now, Early Years Foundation Stage is where the name came from.

Key Stage 2 (KS2) are children in Primary who are in Years 3-6, so 7-11 year olds. KS1 (Key Stage 1) refers to children in Years 1 & 2 (ages 5-7)

Key Stage 3 (KS3) refers to children in Secondary School years 7-9 (or 11-14), Key Stage 4 is 14-16 (GCSE children) and Key Stage 5 are A-Level (Years 12-13) and if you are still confused I will explain on Monday...

  3. Oh No! Whilst tidying up I've come across my old Lima Great Western Trains HST in Merlin colours! This could be a disaster!

Home made as Paul said is the best by a mile, but I'll settle for Baxter's if nothing else is about!

  5. Just watched the Redcoats of the Coldstream Guard march through Exeter! It was beautiful!

Good idea, find a system that works and stick to it. Don't be sidestepped into trying the latest fad, you'll have to learn new techniques.

That was my thinking Tim. The new Comet Sprung system seems to work for me, so I will stick with that.
