  1. Now you mention it, despite my six having boringly non-distracting conventionally coloured wheels, I had not noticed that before. They are currently in the queue for livery corrections and weathering, whether I would have noticed it then, who knows. One more thing to fix .... well, 12 things I suppose.
  2. 73 109, 73 202 and 73 119 bowling past Minnis Bay, Birchington with 4Z73 0844 Tonbridge West Yard Gbrf to Tonbridge West Yard Gbrf on the 4th of September, 2023.
  3. 73 201 'Broadlands' passing near Birchington whilst running from Faversham to Margate and back again as part of the itinerary of 0Z73 0854 Tonbridge West Yard Gbrf to Tonbridge West Yard Gbrf on 10th August 2023. I'm guessing as route refreshing for this autumn's RHTT programme.
  4. Nevertheless, they were all in NSE livery, applied during NSE days, and untouched until withdrawal. There was absolutely nothing visually to indicate a change of operator. I'd buy one.
  5. Errm... 3-CEP 1102 leading a 3 x 3-CEP Victoria - Ramsgate train at Whitstable on 11th December 2002. All 3 units in NSE livery.
  6. I reckon that's Oakhill traction substation situated 9 chains (594 feet) from the tunnel portal at 22m 43 ch. Looking again, that's the end of the Down siding on the left of the first shot and since Oakhill Substation is between the end of the siding and the tunnel portal that must be it.
  7. Yes, R4339C, R4346A/B, R4736/7/8/8A, R4796/6A and the BTK(6)s in the 1938 train/coach packs, at least, were Díagram 2110 vehicles. You are correct, externally and internally they are the same as Diagram 2102 except for the internal door between the corridor and brake compartment. You may renumber to your heart's content!
  8. 'Seems' is the appropriate word. That's an optical illusion caused by the way the vertical cabinet strip lighting is reflecting off the convex surface of the corner. Be assured both sides of the cab had the same convex curve, I saw it with my own eyes!
  9. Nope, I don't need any ferry vans .... and then I saw one. Resistance is futile! The brake rigging and underframe detail is outstanding!
  10. The evening sun catches the rooves of the 6.35p.m. departure from Cill as it receives the Right Away in the early years of the last century.
  11. While I've got the camera set up and there's still some light... S 4377 S S 6706 S
  12. From memory the air tank is 'plugged' into the dovetail on the chassis, you pull (or lever) the air tank off (downwards) and plug the NEM socket in its place. Best done before fitting the brake rigging as the front yoke is in the way otherwise.
  13. I think my late 1950s era stationmaster may have to go and have a lie down when he finds this ensemble standing in his platform ...
  14. "The roof… ? Is it Grey or is it Dirty Blue on the real thing ?" Looks quite grey to me. But that won't stop me buying one. of course, once properly weathered the base colour is irrelevant ....
  15. 73212 'Stephen Eaves" trails behind 3W01 0835 ex Tonbridge West Yard Gbrf Railhead treatment train as it heads for Herne Bay. 11:10 October 9th, 2022.
  16. To me it's the missing Pullman gangway buffing plate and buckeye coupling that looks odd, it took me a while before the penny dropped why it looked so different!
  17. 73213 'Rhodalyn' approaching Birchington with the return of 3W74 0611 Tonbridge West Yard Gbrf East Kent RHTT circuit. Now running about 40 minutes early after omitting the Faversham - Dover leg having been an hour and a quarter late after reversal at Sittingbourne. October 9th, 2022.
  18. Relatively clean H Class 0-4-4T No. 31265 stands with Trio-C set No. 595 forming the last Up passenger working of the day from Cill, the 10pm to Epple. It must be high summer as it's still light. One more train is expected, the last Down passenger service of the day, due to arrive from Epple at 10.25 p.m. and work back ECS at 10.30 p.m. Although booked for a pull-push motor train it has been worked by a DEMU for the last few days. Taken on a Fujifilm X-T30 with a 15-45m zoom lens set to 34mm focal length. ISO160, f22, 1.5 second exposure. Illuminated by indirect daylight reflected off of a sheet of white card and an overhead LED striplight.
  19. There are currently three BR Standard 3MT tanks available for service in the Epple district and hence likely to be found on the Cill branch. Today they were all brought down to Cill and lined up on the run round loop for inspection and photography ... All taken with a Fujifilm X-T30 in indirect daylight reflected off white card using a 15-45mm zoom lens set to 28mm focal length and an ISO setting of 160 overexposed by 1/3 stop and adjusted in Paint.net. 82016 - f22, 1 sec. 82018 - f22, 1 sec. 82019 - f22, 1.3 sec.
