  1. Any chance of another batch of 'Bill Baileys' Nick?
  2. I think there is some confusion creeping in here between references to David Geens website and that of Coopercraft?
  3. Well I'm sorted, picking up my LNWR 2.2.4.0 on Saturday so seems there is some stock.
  4. Jol, Any idea when John will have the LNWR 2.2.4.0 Tank loco's available?
  5. Bachmann will definitely not have a returned stock sales stand at the exhibition.
  6. Now we just need to see the original etched coach sides that Errol Surman sold to be reunited with the latest iteration of 247 Developments. Money waiting for a full rake of kits for the LNWR 2pm stock ?
  7. I agree with Ivan, a full etched kit for a K4 would be excellent.
  8. S4 & EM mags arrived here also, as well as Railway Modeller. Still can't find a copy of Feb. BRM locally after a week of trying, given up on finding one in local stores now, will have to order on line.

  9. Things aren't all bad, just won a Coopercraft coach and Slaters NER Brake van on ebay, just need arm to mend so I can build them

Off you pop to Madame Pomfrey in the infirmary. She'll put it right with a spoonful of Skelegrow.

  11. Is it possible to import pictures of your own loco's into the memory on this DCC system?
  12. Hi Arthur, Do you have any updates on progress with the new loco kits you are developing. Regards, S.
  13. First operating session with DCC N Gauge at Peterborough tomorrow, hope I don't get many spads

  14. Paul, I've just bought a few of these S1 Ironstone wagons from Bill, could I ask what type of glue you are using to stick the resin castings togethor with. Don't want to get it wrong and ruin the look of the finished model or have them fall apart in the future. Thanks, SteveT
  15. I've just met Dick Turpin in the local Vauxhall dealers, £600 for a new air conditioning pump on a car thst has only done 8,000 miles. Daylight robbery

I always thought Mr. Turpin was the guy who set the fares on most TOCs.

A lot of them seem to be set at expense account distress purchase levels.

Saying that, car insurance premiums also seem to be set at more than the market can bear.

I suspect there might be a reason for Harvey Keitel (who played a gangster in "Pulp Fiction") advertising insurance - it all seems to be a racket.

      Isn't it still under warranty?

  17. I think that is wishfull thinking if they can fit a dcc decoder to the trolley, unless they plan to stick it on the roof !!!
  18. Is that for sale as in the etched sides business is for sale or that the etched sides can still be bought direct from Errol?
  19. How are things progressing with the LNER V4 "aid to scratchbuilding"? Must be progressing well, already got my set of etches
  20. So where can one find the information on this SDJR 25a Dazzler
  21. I have suggested that to get low-cost production insert moulding and their trademark snap-over stretcher bar, they may use their existing flat-bottom metalwork for the blades and internal closure rails. Martin, To make a mould tool that would incorporate insert moulding with the associated shut off faces, draft angles to internal cavity faces and potentially cammed moving tool inserts for turnout bases, would be nigh on impossible at realistic tool costs. I have worked in the injection moulding plastics business for over 36 years and it would be a toolmakers nightmare. But I guess we will see what, if anything, they eventually come up with.
  22. I have a piece of stonework that fell of Ribblehead Viaduct if that counts, as well as 6 off Doncaster Works chromalin glass negatives of weight and clearance diagrams for LNER tender locomotives out of 'The Plant' drawing office.
  23. Complete list of wagons as follows - GWR Loriot M Dia. G16 GWR Hydra Dia. G19 GWR Macaw H Dia. J30 GWR Crocodile H Dia. C23 GWR/LMS/LNER 35 Ton Rectank Trolley Wagon GWR 20 Ton Brake Van Dia. AA19 GWR Macaw F GWR Brake Van Dia. AA3 GWR Brake Van Dia. AA7 GWR Pt Way Brake Van Dia. AA6 LMS Stanier 20 Ton Brake Van NER Agricultural Implement Wagon NER/LNER LowMachinery Wagon Mac-L LNER Lowfit LNER 22 Ton Fitted Plate Wagon LNER Longfit Pipe Wagon LNER Fitted Tube Wagon BR Standard Brake Van (to LNER design) LNER Single Bolsater Wagons 13 Tone (Pair) I am pretty sure that is the full range of 4mm wagons and like a few other have mentioned, I would be pleased to just get hold of the etchings and source castings elsewhere if Jim did not wish to make them. SteveT
  24. As many will know, Jim McGeown has recently re-introduced a number of his 4mm Loco kits, that I understand have sold quite well. I spoke to Jim at the York exhibition to see if there was any possibility that there may be a short run of his 4mm wagon kits. However it seems that the artworks/etching tools carry multiple wagons of dissimilar types and he is concerned that if he were to run a batch of etches, that some would sell well and others not so well, where he would be left with unsaleable inventory and the associated cost. Hence probably not viable. I post this here just to get feedback as to the likely interest there may potentially be for these kits to be brought back for a limited run and to try to get some ideas of numbers per wagon type to pass back to Jim for his consideration. Myself I am looking for 4 or 5 of each of the NER/LNER implementwagons and the Lowmac wagons and 3 of the Lowfit wagons, possibly a couple of the GWR wagons also. If anyone elase would like to add their potential requirements on here, I will try to correlate the numbers and feed back to Jim to assess the potential. Thanks, SteveT
  25. I noticed that Coastal DCC had the new Zimo MX10 Command Centre on there stand at S4 North at the weekend. Impressive looking bit of kit but at £1500.00 or thereabouts for the WIFI handset version and I suspect not a huge amount less for the standard cabled hand controller, it needs to very good indeed. Will be interested to see reviews of this system as it is adopted by the wealthier amongst us. SteveT
