  1. It will be interesting to see how realistic it is to get the side marker lights working on the nose end of a 20/3 without compromising the size and prototypical design of the light box ?
  2. I walked the track bed to the old engine shed in the triangle of land between this line and the line still in operation just to the west of Weston on Trent this weekend. Some interesting viaducts and other remnants of the railway still exist if you know where to look
  3. If anyone has an Alan Gibson kit for a 7F Austin Seven 0.8.0 tender loco they would be willing to sell, please send me a PM or respond to this post with a cost. Thanks,
  4. Dan Pinnock once told me that he used Adrian for some if not all of his castings
  5. Think you will find that Bachmann’s parent company Is in China
  6. Is there an update on how the GER Little Sharpie is progressing ?
  7. Do you know of a source for the bogies suitable for the Parker stock coaches, to my knowledge they are not readily available ?
  8. I assume that you are aware of the Worsley Works etches for the 6 types of Parker 45’ coaching stock along with the Clerestory 3 coach dining set. I understand the Worsley Coaches have the corridor on the correct side of the coach etches unlike those produced by Dan Pinnock.
  9. Sturrock Steam Tender is certainly a good call, I would buy a couple of them. Another somewhat quirky loco would be the LNER C9 - only two in the class but again I would want one of each number
  10. Proses are a Turkish based company. There products are imported into the UK by Bachmann and so available through any UK based retailer stocking Bachmann. Bachmann certainly have a number of these spiral helix’s in stock at present but cannot confirm which sizes.
  11. Try Andrew Hartshorne at Wizard Models, pretty sure he was Looking to do the etched bogies for Bachmann Mk1’s
  12. I hope the brass coach etches remain available, I ordered 4 sets earlier this year that I hope will come through once the etching companies are back to full strength. There must be at least a couple of dozen others that I would like in the next year or so. All I would like to see in way of improvements is for the Gresley panelled stock to have the below waistline panels as separate inserts like those from MJT and RDEB ranges but do appreciate this would mean re-drawing all the designs which is probably not practical, so happy to continue with the etches split as upper and lower halves joined at the waistline. I do not get on with resin cast models at all and no longer buy them, I have seen to many of them bow along the sides as the resin is just not stable enough to hold there form long term. SteveT
  13. 36-037 is actually a B4 bogie in the Bachmann catalogue, are you sure you don't mean 36-027 ? If it is the latter you require, they look to be available and your local Bachmann retailer should be able to order them from Bachmann
  14. Have you tried the Bachmann Service dept. they will possibly be able to sell you one
  15. 247 Developments I think you mean, they are still around and I bought packs of net apparatus from them last year.
  16. The NER wagon kits are now with 51L/Wizard Models and perhaps a few of the NBR wagons also. The GCR coach and some of the wagon kits went to the Great Central Railway Society.
  17. The service department never closed
  18. The 1938 and 1957 triple articulated dining car sets are available from Wizard models RDEB range, the 1928 triplet is also available from Wizard under the Comet brand. There is also the 1928 triplet set available from CPL Products and are the most comprehensive set of etches for any of the triplet sets.
  19. This is the link to John Bateson's own website, the products tab will take you the status of all the GCR models he is currently or planning to work on. https://www.greatcentralmodels.co.uk/ D9 and a Q4 for me
  20. It seems to work fine on Apple devices, I’ve tried 3 different ones this afternoon. This website was put up after the original site hosted by the S4 Society.
  21. greatcentralmodels.co.uk will take you direct to John Bateson’s own website that shows all the various GCR loco kits he is working on.
  22. The Worsley Works etches are in Nickel Silver or at least the ones I have are. I also have one of the complete kits from John Bateson of Great Central Models and it really is an excellent kit. From his website it seems John is developing a range of etched kits for GCR engines for his own requirements, but has no interest in marketing them, preferring to pass this over to a third party. I have heard a rumour as to who this might be and hope to confirm this at S4 North as the potential range includes a lot of loco’s I require.
  23. See Mike Trices posting on the Small Suppliers thread for ventilators and Lamp tops
  24. Take a look at Dingo Servo Mounts, they have a good web site with a range of products
