  4. Evening Mikkel, A brilliant idea and well executed planning too. The historical side to this proposal is both interesting as well as informative. Like others have said the maps and photos give a good idea of what you plan to achieve. Also the move away from pre-grouping to the 1947 period will certainly be interesting. I'm looking forwards to seeing the locomotives and rolling stock you model which I guess will appear in a work weary state. A total contrast to the glamour of the pre-grouping times. Cheers, Mark
  5. That sounds like a few bits to keep you busy. I was planning on going to the Kettering show tomorrow only living nearby but then decided to work instead! Still probably saved me a few pennies by not going. Cheers, Mark
  6. Evening Dave, Lovely video. Show's that Sentinel off nicely. There's times when you have to look twice to see if it's real or not. What's next on the workbench front? Cheers, Mark

  9. Morning Pete, That must be a relief to get that track work and wiring sorted. Quite a lot of beavering by all accounts. Be interesting to see your platform technique as well. Hopefully, you can crack on with the buildings and scenics shortly. Cheers, Mark

  15. Really nice work Alex and good to see a post from Diddington once more. Hope there's a few more posts up coming shortly? Perhaps one of a March shedded B17 even? Which reminds me-I managed to get may hands on 61637 'Thorpe Hall' A truely beautiful model. Cheers, Mark
  16. Blimey! The front cover of the new Roco catalogue looks a bit saucy! No design clever required!

Lol, it was the smoke generator and sound that did it for this dirty old geezer.....

  17. Great work Mikkel. The step by step pictures kind of kept you on the edge of your seat-along with an element of Rolf Harris 'Can you guess what it is yet?' A fantastic little project that has produced a beautiful representation of the prototype. Cheers, Mark
  18. Nice work Jeremy. It's hard to believe this is 2mm scale. I've stood on the real thing many a time to take a few photos. Cheers, Mark
  19. Monty Don's French Gardens-Excellent programme and a 2CV as well :D Can't get much better!

  21. Great stuff Dave. You've made a briliant job out of this kit. A nice looking loco. Think it may deserve one of your excellent videos too! Cheers, Mark

    To The Manor Born

Evening Andy, This is looking like it's turning into a nice project. The Manor Class is one of my favourite loco designs. I just love the proportions and Ixion did a great job in designing their model. Yes you're right about the lined green version-but not sure if you realise but 7823 Hook Norton Manor was a Truro based engine in the early 60's I believe. Hope you find the nameplates for your model and look forwards to seeing the lined green version! Cheers, Mark
  23. Evening Roly, Thanks for comments re: my weathering. Which reminds me-I better fire up the airbrush again soon and finish a few bits off. I would have imagined that the handrails would have been green on the bodywork and black around the smokebox. However, I'm not an expert of this period of GWR locos and would imagine a 'PM' to Mikkel would answer your question. Hope that helps Roly, and look forwards to the next instalment. Cheers, Mark
  24. Evening Dave, Truly brilliant modelling that really captures the essense of prototype. Like BJ has said and I'll agree-some of the best architectural modelling I've seen on RMweb. Bring on the goods shed Cheers, Mark
  25. Morning Pete, Oooooooooh! They look like they've come up a treat! Nice work and as you say they'll look good behind a 47/56. That t-shirt looks good too-if perhaps of a close fitting style! Hope the sleeper replacement goes well? Cheers, Mark
