  1. I’m enjoying keeping up to date on this one. Looking great!
  2. This week I have been working on this shed. I have completed more sheds than I dare to count, by seem to move them on pretty quickly - we will see if this one stays in the fleet! Anyway, detailed on one end, just waiting for the airdam/plough to go on the front. I picked the model up in a trade so have got one on the way from a pal. I’m also working on a Freightliner example which is getting there slowly.
  3. Shame they don’t have the same ‘flash’ as EWS livery on those VSOE 67s, that would’ve looked ace!
  4. Wow. This is a bit special isn’t it?
  5. There’s no switch on the 22 from memory - but PCB faults and blown LEDs were a fairly common problem one Dapol diesels at one time.
  6. I’ve just stumbled across this fantastic layout. Really cracking work!
  7. Business is business - if it’s not earning its keep is a redundant asset!
  8. This is a cracking layout, so much detail. I’ve seen some of your WIP pics on the Facebook groups and thought from the start it looked a bit special!
  9. Neither of my two did.
  10. Are the grampus UK made? The one I had in 00 had terrible livery application.
  11. Hmmm. This seems a strange (pointless?!) decision!
  12. Here's the latest thing to roll across my workbench...a humble Class 121 in grotty BR blue and grey. A celebrity loco it ain't! I'm quite fond of this little Dapol model. I toyed with the idea of adding passengers but decided it wasn't necessary. Could probably do with some bufferbeam detailing but I'm not sure if I'll want to use the couplings or not yet.

    N gauge Class 50

Is LegomanBiffo doing the sound for the N gauge 68, as per the 00 version? I think he's said before he has wanted to redo his 50 sound file, as it was one of the earlier efforts, so it'll be interesting to see if he again is the preferred supplier (if they even know yet!).

    N gauge Class 50

I can see 3 DCC sound fitted 50s (aside from the collector club model) listed for £284.95. That's £75 difference between the Farish 40 and the Dapol 50. Or is my maths really bad?! For the record - I can't wait to get my hands on an N gauge 50 that actually looks like one. Lights and all.
  15. The overall scene you have created is just so 'right'. Stunning!
  16. Devlan Mud is now called Agrax Earthshade (or something like that!)
  17. Some brilliant photos gents. I'll be popping back today with my 7 year old - I think he'll be fascinated by the shunting in Blowers Green! I also thought Bristol St Phillips was superb. All in all a nice, friendly small show with some great layouts.
  18. Lovely little show - Blowers Green is worth the 4 quid on its own!
  19. Wow. This thread is a joy to follow - this layout looks so 'right' with the stock on it.
  20. It doesn't really help answer your question but may be of interest. If you enlarge this image you can see some hoppers in the background... https://www.herefordshirehistory.org.uk/archive/herefordshire-images/herefordshire-railways/166661-bulmers-cider-apples-hereford-1971
  21. Thanks! I'm far away in sleepy Herefordshire so I'll keep my eyes peeled - you never know! It's always good to find another brand of decent matt varnish.
  22. That's useful to know - where did you get that from? I seem to go through an awful lot of the stuff!
  23. I've used w&n matt varnish to good effect when I was unable to source and dullcote. It's expensive though!
