  1. We normally have a pull up with details of Chapel on it on display.. we, unfortunately took the wrong one.. many apologies Baz
  2. Ey up! Chuckinitdarn overnight.. and it still is. Pah! Have to unload Beast this morning.. then take loads of boxes of muddling items up to the layout/work room in the loft. Deep frabjoy!.. not! I never fail to be amazed at somenof the "recipe" books which either need a master chef or every possible kitchen gadget in the world to concoct. .. as much as a chocolate fire guard for use with a log burner. Great sports results yesterday.. cricket had two very close test matches, Kansas City Chiefs mauled the Ravens then the 49ers remembered how to score points to fight back for a narrow win. Roll on the Big Bowl and the next tests! Time for a mugatea then .. brave the rain.. empty Beast. Have as stress and pain free day as you can! Baz
  3. The Leeds MRS CIO would like to thank the Normanton and Pontefract MRS for their great hospitality and support at the Show. we had a fine time and we were not the last to leave the Hall. Everything back in pur Club rooms by 7 ish. Chapel behaved itself (one or two minor repairs have been noted, loads of wagons and other railway items have been weathered.. lots of coffee drunk. Many, many thanks! Baz.
  4. Eybup! Good show..nice to catch up with @Erichill16. Another visitor was @88Cand his good lady. He was a cousin of our much missed Chris Foren. Now the mystterries are: 1 what happend to the famous CD carrying hessian sack? 2 where did the Rainbow boots go? Sleep well! Baz
  5. Ey up! London day at Pontecarlos show yesterday. Someone tried to nick a wagon.. he dropped it and scarpered when challenged. Overheard an exhibition manager for another show over the hills talk8ng about the layout " shame it peco teack" .. it isn't. "Shame the trains are too short" nope.. just like the prototype... "Shame the blue ..Ullman is only 6 cars".. I didn't say anything but some other visitors shook their heads...what a doilum! Belated Happy Birthday to Debs! Please pass it on @New Haven Neil. Time to get up and attem as day 2 of the show continues at 10am.. @Grizz.. my team won yesterday.. at last Sunderland remembered how to putthe ball into the net thingy! I am sure @Smiffy2 would be happy as well. Stay safe.. enjoy whatever you do! Baz
  6. Layouts set up, stock placed on Chapel, weathering demo.. ready! Baz

  8. @monkeysarefun.. the MCC Regularly update the Laws of Cricket to try and stop certain countries from bending them.. Two countries are Regularly identified as being major sources of less than fair play...playavevyou to guess who they are. In some work places people who "cheat" are removed from their work8ngnplace.. nuff said. Baz
  9. Where are driving your VW????😎 Baz
  10. Ey up! Off to pontecarlos shortly so up and about early. Overvtgecyears we have accumulated Andys/ Andrews at our Club. Easy peasy.. one is Andy, the next one is Fred.. etc.. Well,I now know what is like to frag your superiors.. write a truthfully letter about what they are doing wrong (and how it can be put right).. this was preparing the fragmentation grenade.. and finishing the letter equates to pulling tenpin out.). Then, open email service up (open tent flap), then.. send it (roll the grenade in, shut flap , walk away). No idea what will happen next...but I feel so much better for it! So @Gwiwer the local Cornish Council.. are they locals or "people from else where" which can cause chaos.. like also stopping bells from ringing, farm animals from being m9ved from field to field etc? Have as good a day as youcan. Great to hear that some of the "missing" ERs are ok. Baz

Plus others which will be added here Excellent Trade support including Squires and DC Kits/Legomanbiffo sound.. full list soon! 12. Ey up! Woken about 2am by rain battering the windows aided and abetted by a reet hoolie.. it died down about 3am and I got back to sleep unril6am. Interesting clubroom last night. We covered a variety of topics from workshops to build live steam engines through turning a set of parts into a luggage van, building layouts in various scales etc. A good discussion was had! And, due to the wonders of zoom we had members from Australia, Birmingham, Heysham, Stockport and Leeds.. Today is a writinganinterviewwithoutcoffee email regarding cricket, fixing my potato cart, reloading the Beast then.. hey Ho! Hey Ho! It's off to Pontecarlos via the Clubrooms. We seem to be missing even more ERs at the moment. @polybear, @PupCam, @zarniwhoop@Grizz, @Robert, @andyram, @NGT6 1315 along with several other more long term non attendees. I hope they are all well. mugatea time.. then off to girebup my scintillisation chamber! stay safe! encourage your day to be a good one! baz.
  13. Notice that Hattons have closed their American Compnay as well. @PhilJ W just check out your pre orders.. they did say theye weren't going ahead with some of them.. Baz
  14. Which one John.. at the moment their is a vastly overpaid insulant trying to explain the history of a company I worked for in a very twisted way... and he was a QA guy on a piece of large calibre bullets.. complete eeeeediot.. or is it in the group about where we come from?? Baz
  15. Leavevir and ryn it. Any extra track you need to add can be easily added. Baz
  16. Ey up! Another day... a trip to the butchers beckons. Locally smoked bacon and locally made " toulouse" sausages to be procured. Tonight will include a Leeds MRS Zoom meeting.."Show and tell" which may include two of our members in Australia as well as some from other parts of the UK...must remind everyone today! I need to sort out the Beast before his trip to Pontecarlos over-the-forth coming weekend. Stock boxes can be loaded before he goes back in the garage overnight. Mugatea to be drunk.. her indoors is off chopin at Moreasons.. its a scintillating time here in the North West Leeds Highlands! And a little bit of local news.. Landing at leeds Stay safe! Positive thoughts to our less than100% ERs. Baz
  17. Plans have been made, layout and stock ready to go, weathering kit.... sorted. Really looking forward to this! Baz
  18. I once had to visit the overhead crane at JET at Culham.... 8 stories up.. it was a very long climb.. At Barrow you could walk all the way around the assembly Hall on floor 6. It meant you had to walk across the very large doors.. via a very small walkway......not for the feint hearted . Entry to the boats in build were either via scaffolding towers, gantries from the building or via mobile workshop blocks.. not particularly keen on any of these.... After some interesting, nay, scintillating , discussions today I must now get some sleep! Sleep well all! Baz
  19. Rheinmetal and BAe Systems plus new subies/ suppliers we got rid of for CR2 could have an impact. Baz
  20. Ey up! May be today is a scintillating day.. but then again, can I take the added excitement? Busy day planned.. hoovering/mopping/polishing.. wow! Later an on line meeting with some like minded mates.. later a trip to the MRS to check 0lans for a weekend at Pontecarlos. I am repairing some items donated to the charity shop herself volunteers at. Fixed an exploding box car and a Connie.. Next up a diesel and another battered loco.. proper old fashioned muddling.. need to get a satellite launcher and a glider launcher to work before they are put up for sale. Been 8nvolved in an off line discussion about the "new" Challenger 3 design.. none of the people involved have any knowledge of tank design. Do they bother asking anyone who does... erm of course not. I and others can see tears! Time to lever myself out of my pit, drink my tea and gerronwithit! TTFN! Baz
  21. Oooh err two of my Blue Grey ( and indeed one is a Blue Grey/Green unit trains .. there could be some surprising visitors at Doncaster.. come and watch! Baz
  22. that caption is wrong it should be "I Make a LOT of LOUD NOISES" much better description Charlie! Baz

  25. Yes my release notes from hospital include reference to a "major heart attack, a stroke and diabetes TEST" but it is not as clear as it can be.. and my sister has to go for the same test due to COPD.. yes.. Medical Practitioners have the communication skills of a banana! I am still waiting for the feedback from my ECG undertaken the first week of December.. no one from the hospital has contacted me.. the Marie Celeste are not privy to what is going on...... Baz
