  1. My kind of course that Iain
  2. This was one of my favourite layouts from glasgow this year, so gorgeous and so much interest in such a small space
  3. Have to echo what Ben says having had the wagon in hand at Glasgow this weekend, its certainly got a lovely unexpected weight about it. It was explained this was to allow smooth running whilst empty. Very nice it felt too
  4. Thanks for the explanation Eric, I wasn't quite sure myself as I'm too young to know for sure, but I'm actually in the process of building an N gauge model of Inveresk station and jsut trying to understand my stock requirements. I did have a previous layout that was based on waverley route stock, primarily from the Edinburgh end but I also decided to add in a good few Kingmoor entries including two Brits. Like you I'll probably just run them to be honest, but I'll need to see. Thanks again for the explanation
  5. Hi Eric Lovely layout, I too am working on an east lothian based layout and was wondering how often britannia classes would have been seen. I notice you have one running. I have a lot of stock from a previous layout including some brits but I didnt think they were hugely applicable if at all in east lothian? Lovely layout, always enjoy the pictures. Do keep them coming.
  6. I actually thought the previous incarnation was actually very good and certainly usable but looks like you've pushed it a step further. The rivets on the new on look that bit more notable.
  7. Whats not to like for ne, superb looking 26s and 47541 a regular in my neck of the woods. Lovely work Do you ever get any n gauge stuff?
  8. So many great little scenes going on all over the place, you seem to have endless ideas for these little touches. Certainly worth while though, there is just so much to see and take in.
  9. Dont know if this appeals to you but I suspect your amazing work would reach a bigger appreciative audience in a more prominent sub-forum rather than under scenery...maybe the layouts sub-forum for example Dont know if that's something you'd want to do or if indeed it can be done but certainly work like this deserves the biggest audience. Its simply outstanding.
  10. Steve Can you advise of any parts from the N-Brass range that you would recommend to finish off the V3 model Did you use the safety valves for example, if so do you recall which variant?
  11. Some minor christmas holiday progress on the V3. Needs pipework, glazing and a crew and then final weathering down with a bit of coal too
  12. Just mind boggingly impressive.. Next year will be worth seeing. Seasons greetings
  13. Lovely finish on that V3, looks like a RTR model, no sign of that being a print at all IMO Signal Box.....is that a Waverley route box by any chance, I think I recognise the layout
  14. Atso Its been a pleasure!!! Definitely looking forward to more of your products and as the printing gets better every step of the way then things are only hoing to get better and better. Cheers MHB
  15. My first foray into 3D prints with this excellent ATSO cad v1/v3 print. Destined to be on of Edinburgh St Margarets 1962 allocation just prior to withdrawal I suppose. Chassis needs painting into black from the light grey, and some final weathering too.
  16. If you'll forgive me another atso v3 breaks cover, still a lot to do but its getting there. Destined for one of the late Edinburgh St Margarets allocation.
  17. Great to see a different angle and see what you are working with. Its a layout I'm very jealous of I have to say
  18. Superb work and photography, realistic photo thread jobs IMO
  19. Yip the buildings are exquisite and the rest following suit.
  20. Some ballast and a backdrop and those two are straight into the realistic models thread. lovely stuff, I know its Grangemouth but it does bring back memories of skulking about Millerhill as a lad. Same sort of loco's found on shed.
  21. Great stuff, you are really capturing the atmosphere of that era of diesel shed.
  22. quality is really very very good isn't it? better than what shapeways are doing would that be fair?
