  1. Good to see the V1/V3 out in the wild, looks like its running well and I also note pulling a half decent load as well. I haven't used my own V1/V3 in anger at all yet even though its complete but I was concerned it felt on the light side and might struggle with traction. Yours looks to be pulling well though, did you add any extra weighting?
  2. Nice decent scale running, one of my pet hates is good N gauge layout ruined by 100mph freight trains and 200mph passenger working.
  3. I can imagine it will do, I also bet once installed you'll need to be super careful around about it, I'm bad enough with just regular layout features never mind something as high as that. PS loved that pair of choppers in your last picture, just how I remember them up at millerhill, pairs out of haymarket with the odd eastfield one as well, noisy and grotty
  4. Looking great, the etches are a worthwhile addition
  5. Thanks Ben, good to hear. Saw and held them at Glasgow and they had a lovely weighting to them, should be lovely runners I expect.
  6. Any news on these as we head towards late summer....... Got an order for these in, so looking forward to them.
  7. Lovely stuff MrSimon, I always think you put a great deal of thought into your buildings and add touches that really bring your buildings to life.
  8. Ah right, fair enough Ben. I didn't appreciate there was a threshold you guys needed to cross before it went ahead. I'd really imagine this will be a popular choice of wagon, and hopefully you hit your numbers with ease.
  9. Hi Ben Good work on the cemflos, having just placed an order what is the anticipated turn around time for these now that you've got the CAD in place?
  10. What an interesting and eye catching fleet of vehicles, I particularly like the pug 205 as I used to the 1.9 GTi back in the day. So many layouts just use out the box vehicles and understandably so but to see you put such great detail into each and every vehicle is fantastic.
  11. The weathering on that stock, both loco and wagons looks absolutely on point.
  12. Spent a large % of my young years at C7912, as SteamySandy points out at the site of the now Musselburgh station. Great to see it as it was before development. The good thing about that location is that we got all the ECML traffic and with either a pair of binoculars or a very keen cyclist we could note the freight going in and out of millerhill via the easterly route. Lovely to see......
  13. Duncan Really sorry I didnt pick up on this reply, apologies and thanks for your interest. Progress in the summer is even slower than the winter so little to report. Finished off another RTR detailing job, just the usual stuff.....crew, lamps, front pipework, renumber and coal and the start of underframe wrathering. Crew and lamps are from the excellent modelu range
  14. Stunning piece of work, looks superb. Well worth the undoubted effort.
  15. I too had ordered the twin set in green with the single dummy and received a full paypal refund of by the looks of things £149.95 without any issue. I also saw the EP of the 17 at the Perth show which looked good but rather oddly and I recall thinking this at the time that Dave wouldn't let me look at closely or touch. Not touching I could somewhat understand and I didn't know if this was the norm or not. I had made him aware I'd bought a pair but he seemed weirdly reluctant for it to be examined in any way.
  16. superb representation of a loco shed ballast/ash, easily one of the best versions of something that does seem tricky to model faithfully.
  17. This is my favourite event on the Scottish circuit, layouts are always of the highest standard.
  18. layout comes across really well in the video someone else mentioned the speed but aside from that I think it looks excellent. In particular you've captured a really quite complex track layout well and without looking too 'set-tracky' if you know what I mean. Nice to see nicely weathered stock too.
  19. Can I just add I (and my boys) thought the soldiers idea was a great idea, kept them occupied for the full visit and bought me a bit of time to enjoy the exhibition.
  20. however long that fencing took you it was well worthwhile, that's simply superb
