  1. Which southern pride coaches are you disposing of?
  2. I'm after the trialing bogies but might be interested in the power bogies aswell. Kind regards Richard
  3. Hi, Yes, I'd be interested in them. Kind regards Richard
  4. Hi, I didn't notice your reply, Yes I'd be interested in them. Kind regards Richard
  5. All this talk of em gauge is making me consider it, I haven't got a complete model of anything I've built or even a layout, just some old Hornby track to amuse my kids with. Perhaps I should think about it.
  6. I'm after some 2bil motor bogies but they seem to be out of stock everywhere, so I can see that the various parts to assemble one are available but the 2bil motor is more expensive than ones for the class 87 for instance. Does anybody know if the motors used in the various bogies are the same size or dedicated sizes for each type?

  8. A question regarding the Alan GIbson milled frames, are the frame spacers listed on their website designed to be used with these frames?
  9. Mine are ready built but not very well and as one is missing its' chimney I'm going to start on that one. Infact I have spent £300 on quite a few bargains like this recently, so I will be back with more questions.
  10. Can I ask which chassis kit you used for this please? I have bought two of these for a combined total of £30, both have working chassis but have no brake gear etc and I'd like to have ago at this kit building lark.
  11. https://www.stationcolours.info/great-western-railway/ Try this link, also read the other pages on the website it gives acrylic matches for other companies colours which might be useful for the shades you require.
  12. I think there is a website called station colours, which has a list of colours and equivalent for different manufacturers.
  13. Further ebay bargains are, Another gem g1/g2 with wheels gears and motor £75. A k's lnwr 2 4 2t with working chassis £40. A midland 2f locomotive with no tender but with a motorised chassis £35. I must step away from ebay now and sort my mountain of diesel models to sell, then enjoy this kit building lark.
  14. I have managed to lose my instructor this kit, does anyone have a copy they'd be willing to scan for me please?
  15. Adding to the conversation about buying second hand kit built locomotives here is a list of what I have bought on eBay recently. Gem fowler 2-6-4t which includes wheels gears and motor for £60. K's coal tank which again has full working chassis but missing its chimney for £20. Gem 56xx on a triang chassis (I intend on this being my Guinea pig for building a comet models chassis) £15. Gem LNWR g2 body kit £21. Craftsman midland 1f which is a failed build and got a lot of glue on the chassis, also requires a motor but has a full set of wheels, £40. Quite happy with that lot, just need to build them when I find the time.
  16. That terrifies me looking at it, but I am colour blind.
  17. Yes it is proving to be tricky finding anything about it, there is a good Facebook group which discusses the Gorseinon and groves end area and has lots of pictures but none of the station area. Even my missus who is an archaeologist and knows the area extremely well, cannot find anything.
  18. I have found this modules and built this, I was aiming to build one like the Gorseinon Station ones but got some of the panels wrong! But as a first go at something like this I'm quite happy, I need to finish painting it but I think it's starting to look reasonably good.
  19. Thanks everyone for the description. As I have just bought some steam locomotive kits that look poorly built very cheap, something like this might come in handy.
  20. Can I ask what the name of the tool used to mark the height of the handrail please? Kind regards Richard
  21. Thank you, quite a substantial structure then, I should imagine that a town such as Gorseinon would warrant a similar structure.
