  1. As the sun was out and 47114 has come out of works I decided a leisurely Beer and some chilling in the garden was the order of the day this evening.
  2. They look really good Julian. Looking forward to seeing the full rake together.
  3. Looking good, I picked up an MM1 TTA at Doncaster but it is in the 'to do' pile!
  4. Cam has released 47114 off his workbench this evening. Though I have just noticed at least one depot plaque has fallen off.
  5. Thanks looking ace. Hopefully my painter will get eh body for mine sorted soon and I can start the finishing touches.
  6. Some excellent looking Turbots there and some great reference shots. I am just starting a second batch of 7mm ones, this was one of the first batch:
  7. Fancied a play this evening after work as the sun was out. Just me chilling in the garden with 33051 and 37423 out for a spin.
  8. That bridge is fantastic. I'd like to do something similar in 0N16.5 but it'll well down the to do list!
  9. Today's progress after various household chores: Next job is to start bending the panels. Back to work tomorrow for my final week.
  10. Here we go again! A while ago I picked up another batch of Turbots with the intention of extending my rake and maybe flogging a couple on once I had battered them. Well Cam & I re-assessed our fleets this week so it seemed sensible to get these done. Hopefully won't take long, the last batch I did rolled through the works fairly quickly. Really hope I can keep the current motivation going!
  11. Steve has already got back to me and its a mistake so hopefully I'll have the correct part sometime next week. Just waiting on my Primer order now and I can crack on with the rest of it. The MAA/MAB is a Paul Rolley kit so is mainly resin. I'll send you my notes as its not on the website yet. The MEA is a Buzz models kit and is a whitemetal chassis, the build for that is here: https://www.modernimageogauge.co.uk/buzz-models-mea.html The bodies are pretty much the same but there were only 5 MAA/MAB wagons built on HAA chassis where as the more numerous MEA's we're build on HEA chassis.
  12. Well, few days away and now back to it. last day of leave so I have tidied up the office and having retrieved my glue from Dovedale cracked on with the WRD. Frame is up with the sides and ends loosely attached. I have run out of Primer but should have an order here tomorrow so they can get painted up. Unfortunately it seems this kit has a wrong piece in it. It should have an end with a small doorway, not two with the large roller shutter. I have dropped Steve a message to see if I can get the correct part, if not will modify this one. Two of Paul Rolley's POA Blackadder wagons sit in the shed under maintenance (they actually need some as they had a minor accident!).
  13. Oh, TTG - I'll have to try and flog you some stuff!!!
  14. I never thought, mine was at Doncaster. Can't remember if it was on the MIOG stand or still in the box! I am thinking of moving it on.
  15. Glad you enjoyed it David, seemed to go down very well. Did you speak to any of us? I know I spoke to loads of different people across the day!!
  16. Run out of glue for the WRD for now, I need to retrieve my large bottle from Dovedale at some point this week so I can crack on. Everything got Dumped at Cam's after Doncaster. Then need to sort out a couple of boards and some track.
  17. On the workbench this week a Skytrex Station and a Railway Laser lines WRD.
  18. Ta. the pic of 47303 is taken from the operating side rather than the viewing side, I am quite pleased how it turned out.
  19. Pictures from the Gauge O Guild show at Doncaster on Saturday. A couple of niggles first thing Saturday but it soon settled down, think it went down pretty well as the gallery was full pretty much all day! 37803 drags the Northwich hoppers through the loader (Only one wagon though!) 37713 & 37674 working a Snow Plough Test: 08817 idles away under the loader waiting for its next train to load: 33051 in its short lived Railtour livery sits on the holding sidings. This caused some discussion as a few people didn't recall it gaining the gloss white roof! 47303 sits on the fuel point:
  20. 47303 sat on the Fuel point at the weekend:
  21. Was a good day Saturday, didn't get many pictures but these are the few I did manage.
  22. Good to meet you on Saturday, apologies if I was a little distracted trying to run the layout and talk! Was a most enjoyable day and Dovedale seemed to go down very well. Just sorting the few pictures I managed to take.
  23. Yes its at the Dome, 10-16 I think. I'm off to pack up and transport Dovedale to Doncaster tomorrow morning.
  24. Jesus, glad I went down an alternative route. I'm sure I'll recoup what I paid for the donor.
