RMweb Gold Happy Hippo Posted May 18, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted May 18, 2023 I thought I might go by train, but according to of of the rail ticketing websites: "It takes an average of 2h 57m to travel from Telford Central to Sutton Coldfield by train, over a distance of around 27 miles (44 km). There are normally 38 trains per day travelling from Telford Central to Sutton Coldfield and tickets for this journey start from £13 when you book in advance." I could get there faster on my pushbike! 2
RMweb Premium Clive Mortimore Posted May 18, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted May 18, 2023 I am able to confirm the following people will be demonstrating skills and answering your queries. Devaluing Wagons Mick Bryan demonstrates techniques for adding realistic graffiti to your prized possessions (robbing them of their resale value). SR EMU Modelling Danny Havlik shows how he has constructed some of his fantastic 4mm EMUs. Kit Built Wagons in N/2mm Scale Grahame Hedges will be showing you how easy it is to put together kits in 2mm scale. Prototype Freight Wagon Research David Larkin will be answering any questions that you might have regarding wagons. I am also pleased to say the following societies will also be in attendance. EM Gauge Society Scalefour Society The Railway Correspondence and Travel Society Now the big question, "How much will it cost to get in?" Adults £12 DEMU members / children (U16) £8 Families (2 adults and unlimited children) £28 Don't forget the surprising treats to be found on the DEMU Members Secondhand Stand. We will also be a chance of joining DEMU and renewing you membership at the DEMU Zone. Looking forward to seeing everyone on the 17th and 18th June in the Sutton Coldfield Town Hall, Upper Clifton Rd, Sutton Coldfield B73 6DA. I am afraid those of us on the organising group have no control over the real railway time tabling of trains to Sutton Coldfield. 2 1
