girlinb
Prices for old tooling are going mad £50 and £55 for a TEA in liveries already produced is stupid. They need to be careful when Accurascale are doing 3 new model PCA's for £70 yet Bachmann want £25 for old MEA's (so £75 for 3) - production costs are probably similar but the MEA mould has more than been paid for Edited October 19, 2018 by girlinb

RMweb Gold TheSignalEngineer Posted October 19, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 19, 2018 At least I can concentrate on hoovering up a few things I missed before and put the finishing touches to my 74xx and 94xx conversion. Unless they spring an unannounced surprise on us all I want from the new releases is a couple of maroon Portholes, assuming I don't find the types I want very cheap in Blood and Custard and do a respray. Sorry Blue Box guys.
lindi
No crane. The Ransomes & Rapier 45 Ton Breakdown Crane is listed by Bachmann as TBA which means its unlikely to be available within the next 12 months. Bachmann make there scheduled delivery dates available on a 12 month rolling period. Dates regularly slip but very rarely get bought forward. The current RRP for the crane is £249.95. Example, if newly tooled goods wagon is retailing for £25 whereas a goods wagon made with old tooling costs £15 then many in this hobby, not aware of the differences between one wagon and another, will likely simply buy the cheaper one. MRDBLUE17
It’s always good to get a rough idea of production dates as you can save up for the items you want. Plenty of time to save for the Freightliner 90 and the EWS 37/7 which are top of my list. No mention of the post office coaches which I think are due soon. Thanks for posting Mark
Heritage Tim
Interesting read. There's certainly lots to look forward to this next 12 months! One loco I don't see mentioned though which I thought was due to be released sooner rather than later is 37884 in Europhoenix livery with sound. I wonder if it's an accidental omission or if it has been significantly delayed for an unknown reason.

RMweb Gold The Johnster Posted October 20, 2018 RMweb Gold Share Posted October 20, 2018 Just checked the website's catalogue and it looks very much as if the 94xx has been deferred yet again; the previous putative delivery date of September 2019 has been quietly dropped and the model does not feature on this release schedule. I am getting a bit fed up with this to be honest and will have no sympathy with Bachmann is somebody else gazumps them with this loco. Tomparryharry's gloomy predictions have been bourn out, and I am increasingly grateful for my Limbach 'temporary' model, which while a long way from perfect is providing me with a great deal of pleasure. I would be happier, if Bachmann are having problems with this model, if they'd just come clean and say so; I'm sure most of us waiting for it would be sympathetic. The current approach feels as if information is being mendaciously withheld and I for one feel a little insulted by the attitude. How many more times will this loco be put back without explanation, and why should I believe anything that Bachmann tell me about it in future; customer trust is an important issue and they seem to have forgotten that in this case. The loco was first announced over 5 years ago, and I cannot understand what is so difficult about producing a relatively simple inside cylinder 0-6-0 tank which will no doubt feature a version of an already well established chassis from the 57xx; only a slightly different frame profile is needed, so they've hardly had to start from scratch with it, it's not as if they are introducing anything clever like working inside motion or anything. I am not a happy bunny.
wombatofludham
Three class 90s in May followed by a noisy 158 and 117 in July. Not too bad, don't think I'll have to start renting myself out to the local old widows quite yet.

IamDaniel
Any reason why 37055 has been delayed and delayed? It was meant to be released last month and last I heard from my local model shop (in Devon) it was due in December.
mdvle
Just checked the website's catalogue and it looks very much as if the 94xx has been deferred yet again; the previous putative delivery date of September 2019 has been quietly dropped and the model does not feature on this release schedule. Bachmann announced in early September (just after their club member open day update) that the 94xx had just gone to tooling. 12 months from start of tooling to delivery would likely be very optimistic for most manufacturers, and while if Bachmann pushed it they may get the 94xx out by the end of next year (which may be good for them, I could see a "cute pannier" doing well in Christmas sales) it may be early 2020. Be interesting to see what the update is in the Bachmann 2019 announcement in January. [note that in the summer update * Bachmann had the 117 and 158 at the early samples stage. The 117 and 158 are, in the above list, scheduled for late July and the summer update was early June. So 14 months approximately from EP to delivery.] * http://www.rmweb.co.uk/community/index.php?/topic/134726-Bachmann-times-summer-2018-product-updates/?hl=2018

RMweb Premium DRS Crewe On A Mission Posted October 20, 2018 RMweb Premium Share Posted October 20, 2018 Thank you for list. It's interesting that the 20/3s haven't been listed which would suggest that they are yet to receive an allocated delivery/arrival date. This would suggest that these won't arrive until 2020 at the earliest now. It's also interesting that 37424/37558 has been put back again from February/March 2019 arrival until July 2019 now. It was originally due to arrive in 2018.
