the very existence of several newcomers in the market has had the effect of causing everyone to expect more,
One of those has just swept the board at the Model Rail awards.

she was my adopted loco at Paignton, many happy days spent on her
It has to be 5239 Goliath for me John @John Besley as I had a very nice footplate ride on her nearly ten years ago now.

Put it another way £45 (say) without detailed compartments or £50 (say) with. No contest in my book.
The newly released Bachmann full brake in teak is now 60 sheets so I see.

I disagree Tim, it’s pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in 4mm. If I remember correctly our mutual friend @2ManySpams added this kind of thing to the interiors of coaches for Treneglos.

Here's a nice photo with a variety of POs and company wagons:
Excellent photo , shame it’s not dated.

With the access to the GWR wagons book via this threads @BenL I've only just noticed Rapido have attempted the marks on the body of 86140 😉

I can vouch for the free running John , amongst the best wagons I have in that regard.

I like the shade of grey for the post-1939 roofs. Would perhaps benefit from a very thin brown wash.
An excellent example of a manufacturer listening to customer feedback.

As promised and some afternoon delight from Rapido in the shape of three new wagons, V 14 Mink, O15 Open and Y4 Banana van. All three are superb and very free running.

Received mine this evening and they are superb, photos on my layout thread anon. A nice touch including some pipes for those who like the dangly bits on their models.

Having received mine this evening they look quite superb. Photos on my layout thread anon. Can anyone point me to a prototype photo of an O11/15 with the tarp bar in the resting position.

You can’t beat the use of Lifecolor paints for doing some weathering.

@Gilbert have a look at the photos taken of them in production late last year, they certainly look like the roof is removable.

It's great following the NTB thread. Some really interesting discussions and GWR talk.
I have just ordered a GWR 'Mink A' Dia. V14 No. 89268, GWR grey post-1936 livery. Looking forward to its arrival.👍
That's one of the ones I ordered @Kevin Johnson and as it's vac fitted will need some instanter couplings.😉

None of these to be seen in a layout setting yet chaps.

With the release this week of the GWR wagons from Rapido, the V14/16 Mink A ,Y4 Banana and 011/15 open , would the vacuum fitted examples have instanter and non fitted, three link couplings .

If you unscrew the bogies and remove , the bits in the polybag are then easier to fit.
