I would say it would be worth getting up for but the weather is meant to be awful again,

I did catch 66720, but it was very overcast, so nothing more than a video grab to see the graffitied PCAs.

Hopefully, it'll still be about Saturday and next week

In the meantime - closely numbered classmate 66723 "Chinook" is in charge of 6M31 Hunslet-Arcow with a full rake of cut down VTG HHA hoppers

Seen here passing Settle on 23/2/21 (just mistimed the shot get the station nameboard in!)

Even with the reduced timetable currently in operation, daylight working of loaded biomass trains along the Huddersfield line via Standedge Tunnel are uncommon.

A short time later GBRf 66714 'Cromer Lifeboat' passed in the opposite direction with the the Sundays Only 6M51, 12.03 Doncaster Down Decoy to Liverpool Biomass Terminal, empty biomass hoppers.  For the second Sunday in succession running via the Huddersfield line as a variation to its usual route along the Calder Valley.

Many enthusiasts, I imagine, have a loco that keeps cropping up numerous times, wherever you happen to be in the country.  In my early 'spotting days' in the mid-1970s it was Crewe Diesel Depot's 47503.  These days for me it seems to be 66709.

DB Cargo 66133 passing through Brighouse with 6E26, 10.40 Knowsley Freight Terminal to Wilton EFW Terminal, loaded binliner.
