I note there has been no recent additions to this list.

However, assuming it is still being looked at, how do I go about getting a response to the several unanswered e-mails I have sent requesting Beattie Well Tank spares please?

You could try emailing Kernow.

Class 26 has run in Kent and Scotland.  Hastings units have not run in Scotland only reaching Carlisle unless someone can tell me otherwise.  NCB colliery locomotives also figure among the types which ran "everywhere" from Kent to Scotland and Dave has been known to dabble in small steam types ;)

Now isn't this more fun than wish listing!        :smile_mini2:

Spennymoor tomorrow anyone?

Ps. Nice to see a manufacturer in attendance at a small provincial exhibition. The 2mm Clayton EPs looked excellent.

So a clue from the Exhibitions thread: -

..."dirty, full of coal and worked in the North East"..

To be available in N and 00, almost certainly not a mainstream Diesel as there are pretty much none that haven't been done in 00, N or both.

Clearly not passenger so bang goes any DMU theory.

Hang on..............I know.................it's a scale working coal mine.........

Alternatively, how far did the J26/J27 wander????

Maybe it would be better to clear the ever grow list of "if you fund it I'll make it, but I won't update the threads" models, and orginal announcements made many years ago then announcing yet more models which may or may not see the light of day one day ?

It may well be a one man band, but communication is key to a successful business and keeping a faith of a customer base.

Very well said !. My sentiments exactly .

Communication is very important in any business, but a lot of business's in the model railway sector do not understand that simple factor.

Hi

I would also add communication across the land is not what we always need or get from many companies and not just in our specialist hobby area.  Gone are the days of "monthly news in modelling magazines" - and that could be 6 weeks behind. With mags, webs, forums and mainstream social media  there must be some 20 popular channels for getting information out of organisations.

It is easy to moan but big organisations now have large. or busy teams of staff attempting to put info out into the world. Many modeller suppliers are one man (sorry person !) bands and not always the full time occupation - putting retirement in that bracket as well.  It might surprise a few but a telephone call or even that old fashioned thing the letter post often gets a decent reply.

Perhaps (and not throwing stones in glass houses) counting to 100 and breathing are lost skills. I recall -with much frustration my tool maker dad telling me again that patience a virtue. Equally of the  truism  "he who who waits...."

I think that we bemoan communication when the news is not too our liking or we do not get our way - I see at work some amazing tweets ( correct speling !!)  and their attempts to big up issues in the expectation of fawning and refunds  by staff on social and customer support desks. Yes I have probably heard all excuses on the planet for not having bought a ticket- of any type let alone the correct one ! A large part of modern society seem to hope we too have recently fallen out of the trees and get a little excited when found out and then blame a lack of communication... ho hum

Finally if I recall model railways is a hobby for most and they are meant to be fun and like the gambling adds on telly, when the fun stops, stop betting. - or get another hobby.

Dave has a stand at Warley show so hopefully we can learn more.

Indeed patience is a virtue of course, but a new era of communication and delivering on promises were made a few years ago which rightly attracted a lot of good faith and a willingness to accept some delays.

But if you've invested often large sums in crowdfund models (Class 92, King etc) you expect a certain level of communication.

We live in a world where you can get a message across the world in seconds, Dave has a business which is dependent on people coming back buying his models.

Go back through the section of the forum and count up how many models have been announced, and then a part from retailer ordered models how many have been delivered it doesn't take confidence building reading.

The Sandle tank and Class 17 are being advanced, the King who knows, the Class 92 in OO and N again who knows ? People have handed over money on those two what have they to show ?

A message saying they'll be news Friday, isn't good enough when you've handed over cash.

No doubt Dave will come back with a witty response, or some kind of out down slating us doubters but he needs to understand confidence is sliding in his ability to play with the big kids and make a sustainable business.
