If you can call it another livery variation, this is a very much patched up 90026 with overhauled bogies on a test run before repainting.

Great clip 298 ... this is more of the same group of tired DB EWS 90s  which have been in service but has included 90020 and 90039 but at last they will have new liveries as part of Grand Central.

Note: the yellow on the nose and under the number is a different shade to down the bottom of the body!

On the final shot the yellow down the side looks almost Colas flourescent yellow, but in the earlier two shots it looks like a warmer yellow.

Once we get one of these RTR that is clearly going to be a bone of contention amongst modellers when the production samples arrive.

Is it a different shade though? the way it looks the same where the colours meet in the top two pics suggest it is the same colour, but is it perhaps the light or some reflectivity in the side colour to explain the bottom picture?

See :D

Not even announced and we can't agree

There appears to be a line in the number where the colour alters, but it could be a trick of the light, and as you say reflectivity within the colour,

On my PC there is definitely a change of colour in all three images behind the number. In the first two, the bodyside yellow is darker the cab, whereas in the bottom image its the other way round. The change seems to be too sharply defined to be a trick of the light.

I wonder if this could be because the livery is a vinyl & the line is where it has been cut?

I think I have got them all..

90043 is in power haul. 90046 briefly was in Freightliner green with no logos, looked strange.

and as new 90026 to 90036 shortly to become 90126 to 90136 trainload speedlink 90037 to 90050 which became 90137 to 90150. If your pedantic the Bachman model of 90037 is only technically correct for about a year as the tdm cables were moved to be tidied away in the position on the sides rather than under the horn grille, and the buffers were changed and rubbing plate removed etc. I can supply dates of change if anyone is interested as that was when each loco was numbered as a 90/1

Nor do many things in the deep fat fryers of Glasgow....

Never did get the opportunity when I used to travel around Scotland in the 1980s, but a deep fried Mars bar sounds fantastic in my view.

Suspect the yellow side stipe might be reflective 'Scotch-Brite' rather than paint?
