Very disappointing.Go and stand at the back of the class and think about what you've done

I know. Sorry.

I should have also added a mermaid, a police fiesta, some indication where the out of gauge track is, a corn store, a parrot and the remains of a 1366 class loco.

I trust that you are making the board ends to Modular standards so that all the folk barracking making suggestions to improve (?) your choice of prototype can join in the build and we could see a model of the whole L&B system? Saves making fiddle yards too !

I can't think of anything worse than modular layouts.

So, probably not

I have to agree. I can see the point in modular layouts from an operational point of view and that it offers you the chance to be part of a much bigger (and hugely variable) project but visually they are generally a disaster. Not what floats my boat I'm afraid but can understand that it works very well for others.

We've been out to Bratton Flemining today for a short walk. The path runs alongside the station and old track bed, but unfortunately lower than the track bed, so not very easy to see the former station.

I've taken a few photos as below, which may help.

Where the goods shed once stood, is now a garage for the house.

A couple of views from the path with station behind.

A view back along the track from the Barnstaple end looking towards the station. The path on the left.

A couple of views overlooking the bridge, onto where the tracks ran.

From the road with station in front and you can see the elevation difference.

Most of the area now has quite a few trees and the contours rise up behind the station.

I've also a few photos of the replica coaches as well, plus a few photos of van no 23, which I can post if you like.

Excellent, thank you so much for taking the time to do that, it's going to be very helpful, especially understanding gradients and the general scene etc.

Ooowh yes, please post the pictures of the replica coaches and van...

cheers

No problem!

We will be making further visits over the coming weeks as there are few more bridges nearby that are worth photographing!

I'll sort the other photos later.

Roads look too wide as well.

It's all relative - if you drive a large van, then what do you expect ???

This was one of the widest part of the lane, a bit further down the car sensors were beeping at every little twig / bramble hanging into the road!
