All main paintwork done, Blue on a couple of complete bodysides and some patches to blend in where the crests have been removed, and all roofs painted to cover the cantrail stripe.

They'll be left alone for paint to harden off for a couple of days while I'm on a short holiday.

Then it's stickerin' time !!

Cheers,

Phil.

Bit more progress has been made.

Decals on and sealed with varnish, pipework added to 3 chassis' (Furious will have couplings to both ends, for double-heading), fans painted Yellow, windscreen wipers returned but in random positions like the real ones seemed to have !

Bulwark has had the mods mentioned previously.

Nameplates to be added, before weathering.

Cheers,

Phil.

The real 007 would be good..........

007 & 049 would tick a couple of boxes...

007 with it's proper name

049 as opposed to 149

but I've plenty of other stuff to catch up on first !

Cheers,

Phil.

TYPICAL !! :O

One of the announcements at Warley is for this loco in exactly the same condition as I'm aiming for.

But I shall carry on regardless, hopefully I'll be finished before them. :mosking:

Anyway, just a bit of dismantling to get a speaker in the fuel tanks.

Cheers,

Phil.

Replacement speaker fitted in the tanks.

The small hole lines up with the bass port of the speaker.

I've cut 2 circular holes over the speaker cone, just so the remaining section keeps a bit of strength to the fuel tank moulding.

The metal weight was cut to leave a piece as large as possible in the remaining room.

Cheers,

Phil.
