RMweb Premium Phil Mc Posted October 28, 2018 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted October 28, 2018 All main paintwork done, Blue on a couple of complete bodysides and some patches to blend in where the crests have been removed, and all roofs painted to cover the cantrail stripe. They'll be left alone for paint to harden off for a couple of days while I'm on a short holiday. Then it's stickerin' time !! Cheers, Phil.
RMweb Premium Phil Mc Posted November 5, 2018 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted November 5, 2018 Bit more progress has been made. Decals on and sealed with varnish, pipework added to 3 chassis' (Furious will have couplings to both ends, for double-heading), fans painted Yellow, windscreen wipers returned but in random positions like the real ones seemed to have ! Bulwark has had the mods mentioned previously. Nameplates to be added, before weathering. Cheers, Phil.

RMweb Premium Phil Mc Posted November 18, 2018 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted November 18, 2018 Next project started. This was acquired cheap, due to the factory sound being removed. It's going to be Alycidon in its current condition. Cheers, Phil.
RMweb Premium Phil Mc Posted November 25, 2018 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted November 25, 2018 TYPICAL !! One of the announcements at Warley is for this loco in exactly the same condition as I'm aiming for. But I shall carry on regardless, hopefully I'll be finished before them. Anyway, just a bit of dismantling to get a speaker in the fuel tanks. Cheers, Phil.

RMweb Premium Phil Mc Posted November 26, 2018 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted November 26, 2018 Replacement speaker fitted in the tanks. The small hole lines up with the bass port of the speaker. I've cut 2 circular holes over the speaker cone, just so the remaining section keeps a bit of strength to the fuel tank moulding. The metal weight was cut to leave a piece as large as possible in the remaining room. Cheers, Phil.
RMweb Premium Phil Mc Posted November 27, 2018 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted November 27, 2018 Bodywork started. ETH socket removed and hole filled (it's on the bufferbeam of 009) Headlight and all handrails etc fitted. Ends repainted Yellow.
