...and after turning up at Littlehampton Shed in the middle of what should have been a twelve car formation and some early morning shunting later, 377302 is now tucked up for the night at the back of the shed:

Whilst 377312 with 320 for company gets to spend the night out in the wind and rain.

With Brighton Station closing at 21:00 on Saturday night due to no station staff, the last train of the night to Chichester got spun around at Hove:

Southern Class 377/4 377451 Hove 29/7/23

If you want to go to Brighton next Saturday, don't bother, everything is cancelled!

Brake third. But probably lasted long enough in traffic to have been reclassified.

Just found this video showing, in amongst the specials, plenty of slam-door EMUS (thus qualifying for this thread) and in some locations local to me that have been very rarely photographed over the years, certainly almost never appearing in print.

That Youtube channel in general is a underrated treasure trove of old BR videos!

Note how many people looking at there phones  sad.

Just watch them on the train itself!  It is just me and the resident nutter who look out of a window on my train journeys now.  Life is too short to spend it gazing at a screen.

Sorry, just a little obsession of mine.

Biggest trouble I have when travelling on  80*s is that my reserved window seat, either doesn't have a window or a restricted view, due to a pillar.

They'll be looking at RTT to see what time the train is due....

A bit like looking at a weather nowcast instead of just looking out of the window....
