Hard to tell from photos of the real thing, but you might want spring steel keys; in which case you could trim most (if not all) of the moulded key off the chairs - useful if you do happen to glue any on the wrong way round :)

I think I just need to concentrate more...

Either that or keep out the pub...

Arrrgghhh.

This blowing my mind!

Plan says I need 1PL, 2PL, 3PL & 4PL, each side.

However, on the two sprues we only appear to have components that look like PL1 & PL2, no PL3 or PL4 in sight - not that they're numbered that way.

Perhaps its me and too much sun.

You   need to look at this

RH%20Switches.pdf

Each of those chairs is made from several components the above pdf gives the numbers that corresponds to those on the sprue,

If you are not using a turnout kit and don't have a ready made switch you need to pack two of the chairs with 0.4mm plasticard to replace the fret

  • 3 months later...

Not posted for ages, work has completely consumed me for most of this year. Anyway, I’ve found myself with some time today and fancied doing a bit. In part spurred on by the prospect of the Sutton Loco Works releasing a Scottish 24/1; headcode box, tablet catcher, headlights, ploughs - the lot.

First job was to remember where on earth we had got too. I had just started building the first of the P4 points. Thanks to Mark F I now have all the components I need, so there’s no excuse!

So to start off I’ve threaded the remaiming chairs on the straight stock rail, added the check rail and stuck the lot down, checking with gauges as I go.
