Well been cocking* the dinner chaps, I see I've missed two sailors and a dick whilst I've been gone.

*The act of cooking in our house. It stems from one of the first paintings by my little step princess way back when she was at nursery school. It was a portrait of Nola (not Mrs Dubya) with these words painted below:

"My mummy looks after me and cocks my tea"

Yes indeed, I have tried to fathom them for years and even if I could fold them correctly I suspect any detail would be lost in the blob of solder used to 'stick' them together.

So you must have been at primary school when you bought them, then?

Train porn's arrived

(I like the plain brown packaging that always raises a smile from the postie - if only he knew).

Looks like I won't get the layout finished today after all. :(

That's why the envelope is soft (ish) one side and machined for those difficult situations on the back.

Oh, just built and threw on another vee. I am now literally having a lay down as I need to gather my strength before drinking a coffee and watching the local news (for local people).

Yep, a very good investment, I think they were £25. Parallel pliers are pretty much essential for me for track building.

I don't have the gentle touch and end up pinching one side of everything otherwise.

I'm actually toying with the ideal of building another crossover but in ply with plastic chairs (and the odd rivet). I think I've still got enough turnout timber strip and plenty of chairs, courtesy of Dr Quackenstein™.

I still haven't got a finalised track plan.

Cheerzes

Edit: One thing is definite and that is the crossover is an A5 wiv a 9ft switch.

They make a mean pair of wirecutters too. The only tool I have used to reliably cut piano wire (more than once).
