RMweb Gold Dunsignalling Posted November 25, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 25, 2017 (edited) Looking at the crane I think it's going to be a couple of pounds more than the original estimated price... 45 Ton crane in GWR Black livery ( Price is estimated - we will notify you if price rises and offer option to cancel) OO Gauge (1:76 Scale) £60.00 Around three times that, I reckon. Mind you, I started a coffee jar for my BR(S) one when it was first announced and I'm nearly there already. I had to empty it to get rid of the old quids. RMweb Premium DRS Crewe On A Mission Posted November 25, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 25, 2017 Is that a Bachmann WCRC Maroon 57/3 on the photo on the previous page? I'm assuming that this is a new standard ready to run model and not a respray?

RMweb Gold adb968008 Posted November 25, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 25, 2017 (edited) Here’s a couple of other images of the display by Bachmann today. A lot of new things to see today... Plenty to be excited about, definitely today of the Manufacturers, Bachmann has the most future related releases to display Edited November 25, 2017 by adb968008

class37418stag
Visa stamped, under armed escort and undercover.. I’ve this Secretly smuggled from behind the Blue curtain... The very nice Mr Lovett when asked said the 2018 catalog is due Jan 7th, Birdcages are on the boat, freightliners in new year. When asked about a class 40 and the 60th anniversary, he smiled, then hesitated. Then said no comment, ..yet :-) But wow the working steam crane ! The detail is fantastic, with Jib, frame, balance, supports with all moving components. The designer of it was on hand there, proudly talking about it, this is a massively complex piece of machinery, more so than valve gear on a steam loco and that the arm lifts, swings and is configurable all with in super detail.. forget the mass plastic Hornby one with its knobs to pull the chain... the valve gear moves in this one ! There’s a lot in the lounge today, car flats painted and they are massively well detailed, secr and SR birdcages, SR painted LBSC, J72, freightliners, crane, 47245, IC 47, colas 37 and 70.. Hello have you seen model of class 47245 and 47 Intercity on display at NEC today ?
RMweb Gold adb968008 Posted November 25, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 25, 2017 (edited) Hello have you seen model of class 47245 and 47 Intercity on display at NEC today ?Yes 47832, small numbers at the base of the cab, in IC Mainline livery, named Tamar, and 47245 in WCRC livery we’re both on show.I understand both are in production and Q1 2018 today when I asked (ive preordered at Derails). Asking around I understand 47245 is in very high demand for preorders. Edited November 25, 2017 by adb968008
RMweb Gold The Stationmaster Posted November 25, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 25, 2017 (edited) Thanks for the pics - very helpful to us prolls who were not permitted into the champagne enclosure. The breakdown crane looks even better than whispers emerging some months back suggested and as a Brighton H2 worked over at least one Western branchline in the early 1950s I don't think it would be difficult to justify on a WR layout - would it? RMweb Gold farren Posted November 25, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted November 25, 2017 Oh dear oh dear! I thought it was going to be a nice quiet and cheap year for me next year. Just waiting for midland 0-4-4. But the SR Atlantic just looks so good. the Crane as moved on further then expected.

I keep telling my wife that every year then in drops the magazine from Bachmann and out comes the piggy bank and then the wife asks how much I'm looking for and my reply is £1000 more than I have lol Thanks Alan
RMweb Premium it's-er Posted November 25, 2017 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted November 25, 2017 Yes indeed adb, many thanks for the various photos you've posted from Warley today. They are great for those of us who are unable to get the NEC. At the moment, you seem to be in a minority of one, so many thanks. That breakdown crane is just amazing - far beyond what any of us expected, I think! I see the new LNER J72 has made its first appearance. What we had from Mainline around 1975/76 was ground breaking in its day: no doubt this one is better, though probably not as iconic, but at least we will be able to replace those of our original versions which no longer work because of split axles or whatever. Tin Turtle
Looks like it’s a wagon... Excellent! Nice to see a First World War tanker, especially as I wasn't able to get one of the War Office collectors club ones. There's a nice example of a 1917 Ministry of Munitions tanker just like this at Beamish Museum The J72 also looks very nice, with the handwheel instead of the smokebox dart and no cast-on smokebox door plate which the ex-Mainline one had. Fingers crossed for one in NER livery. Also hope the Farish N gauge version is just as nice... Edited November 25, 2017 by Tin Turtle

RMweb Premium stephennicholson Posted November 25, 2017 RMweb Premium Share Posted November 25, 2017 Agree the crane was one of the highlights of the day. The designer, who was on hand, was clearly pleased with his work - and rightly so. Good day out, but marred for me as I had mislaid the LNWR Coal tank I purchased somewhere and I did not notice until I was on my way home. Email sent to the organisers in the hope that someone has been honest.
