bike2steam
Nice to see passengers in coaching stock, if only they'd done it before to save me doing it! And before anyone makes comments on the quality just think about looking at the model coaches from a few feet away at an exhibition. But I had to gulp hard at the prices. tamperman36
Some nice new models, now I'll have to try and find some extra housework to do to earn the extra brownie points from SWMBO so I can spend on some. Nice to see passengers now being included in passenger stock, now we need drivers and passengers in some of the road vehicles.

woodenhead
For some reason I thought 38-122 VAA Box Van in BR Railfreight brown livery No. 200115 7/8 was coming without RailFreight markings - did they have them in 1969 or were they branded later? Don't know for certain, but I think the Railfreight markings are early- mid 70's onwards. woodenhead
Just checked the image on Bachmann's site didn't have the markings OK, so easy to remove but I don't want them with markings so they've saved me £50 as I wont be buying a couple now Buying is an addiction so anything that stops me is good. Fat Controller
For some reason I thought 38-122 VAA Box Van in BR Railfreight brown livery No. 200115 7/8 was coming without RailFreight markings - did they have them in 1969 or were they branded later? They were branded later, IIRC; the original markings would have been 'COV-AB', with a BR double-arrow where the Railfreight lettering is, and sometimes a large yellow circle with 'ABN' (air-braked network) in the middle. TOPS codes wouldn't have appeared until 1973/4 at the earliest. I'd say that the livery is actually the short-lived Maroon, which was very smart when new, but which weathered to something close to Freight Stock Brown very quickly. vitalspark
The limited edition Scotrail liveried 47/7 will be available from Modelrail Scotland on a first come basis at the Glasgow show in February. With the forthcoming release of a Scotrail DBSO from Bachmann I would think this will be a popular model. Dave.

Ditto ditto for the 70. Many years ago, I thought, “Wouldn’t it be nice to have a colour television at Christmas?” Stupid idea. Licence now falls due just before Christmas. It costs more-or-less the same as a shiny new loco and only lasts a year.
RMweb Gold Oldddudders Posted December 20, 2017 RMweb Gold Share Posted December 20, 2017 They were in the November list. The Brake Composite and Composite arrived at Kernow today, so should be at your retailer of choice now/soon. These would seem to be in short supply. The high street dealer I bought the two SR green brakes from yesterday said he had only received a fraction of the SECR order he’d expected. Buy now if you can.
