Orchard Road TMD - BR Blue - The Story Continues

After much deliberation, I've decided to offer Orchard Road for sale!

I will sell as the exhibition layout, I.e. complete with curtains and light frame / sign. To be sold WITHOUT any stock, controller or power supply for the point motors.

I currently use a NCE Powercab, plugged into the front, and will leave the socket if required, but otherwise will remove for you to connect your own DCC controller.

The layout packs into an enclosed box, with the legs fitting into the frame and the lights are separate items.

I've exhibited extensively in the South West, but also appeared at Stafford, Warley (2014) and RMWeb live.

Also featured in Model Rail and Hornby Magazine.

I am happy for a new owner to continue exhibtining (with a couple of caveats to be discussed privately) and have two bookings if you want to take these on and exhibition management happy to accept the same conditions that I've agreed with them.

The layout will need to be collected in person from my home (North Devon) and cash payment upon collection.

I've so far not advertised elsewhere and want to gauge interest first here, so please PM me direct, please not on the thread, with questions and serious offers. I do have a figure in mind and to be blunt not prepared to accept anything much less than this figure. Again, I won't discuss values on the thread.

Thanks to everyone who has commented both here and at exhibitions.

Mr Magnet sir, I see you've booked heavy rain for our trip down to Barnytubby show on Friday. Please ensure we have good weather for the rest of the weekend.

Unfortunately I don't have full control over the weather. We would like a warm, but not too sunny day (not quite beach weather) for Saturday.

What time are you planning to arrive?

After setting up, we will be off to Wetherspoons again!

The van is arriving at my house at 10am if that helps...

D is driving, John is ranting and I'll be posting updates. You should know by now none of us navigates.

Helpful navigation directions :

A30 to Launceston

A388 to Holsworthy, Stibb Cross & Landcross

A386 to Bideford

A39 to Barnstaple

Don't know that route, is it better than A39 all the way?

That's as bad as asking for someone for directions, who after a deep intake of breath says' "if I was you, I wouldn't be starting from here!"

I've just realised that I was trying to avoid the roadworks at Temple - but that route doesn't... I might change it to the A39, or go all the way to Okehampton before turning northwards.

The A30 is dual, most of the way, so should be quicker than the A39.

See you about 4:30 Saturday...

You do know we're approaching from the north don't you Stu!

I suspect we'll take:

A42/M42

M5 to Jct 27

A361 to Barnytubby

An update on Orchard Road

I've decided to not sell the layout, certainly for the foreseeable future.

I've a few bookings, as below.

7th November 2015 - Wycrail / High Wycombe

23rd / 24th January 2016 - Calne (Calne Leisure Centre)

12th / 13th March 2016 - Huntington (East Anglian Model Railway Exhibition)
