Very nice loco....

Sorry I couldn’t be there for the grand moment as we had to go to the superstore for our click & collect.

I picked up the other day there is a huge shortage of cardboard boxes in the uk because of the amount to home deliveries being made.

Sort of makes sense because for example over the last 12 mths  everything for my railway has been delivered by post/delivery firm.

Have I missed the tea and biscuits???

Seems I’ve missed all the fun and more importantly, the biscuits. Any idea what the problem with the original was?

Yes you have. It's not as if you weren't warned.

Normally I would have thoroughly investigated an incident such as this, but in this case the model was bought fully sound fitted from the factory and I resisted the temptation to do so and sought advice from the retailer. Unlike some of the models that appear on Easton this one had nothing done to it at all apart from having the DCC address changed, so I reasoned that I had not contributed to the failure. The symptoms suggested a decoder failure or an internal wiring short circuit, neither of which could be my fault (honest, guv). I asked Rails what I should do and their immediate response was to tell me to send it back so that they could investigate. They then offered to replace it free of charge subject to Dapol supplying the replacement. I had a short wait but am not bothered about that at all.

I don't think you can ask for a better customer service than that.

I haven't checked the replacement yet, though. I'm sure it'll be fine.

Sorry to disappoint. I had plenty of digestives in stock, you see?

Let's hope the new acquisition satisfies your hunger for something small and nicely formed and provides years of dedicated service.

Interrupting the flow for a moment.

The Spring Weekend online event at Missenden Abbey Railway Modellers is now open for Zoom session bookings. If you're wanting to attend a session I'd advise booking soon because I have a feeling that they'll get full fairly quickly - maximum of 100 per session. I might be wrong, though.

47 of the 100 for weathering have already been booked, within 36 hours of opening. ;)

See below for the link.

Surely not.......?

I thought I was wrong once - but I was mistaken.

I managed to find space to precariously balance things while I started the ballasting. Then I remembered that there was still some track to lay in the goods yard. Out came the Copydex and a search uncovered the piece of closed-cell foam I'd set aside. I need to find the track cutters, though, and that might take a while. I've got some precariously balanced things to move . . . . .

That may be, but it's taken 10 years to get here and I have no buildings or platforms. ;)

But you wouldn't want to be too hasty!

I was always told that you must never finish your layout as you would immediately stop breathing - thus it was essential to always have something left to do.....:mda:

No sure I realised she had a name.....:mda:

Raises a lot of questions......

.....Can you get treatment for it?

.....Who was she named after?....were they flattered?

.....When you add a second shed what will it be called?

.....Are their 'shed spotters' out there who may already be underlining 'Mary Gwendoline' in their locoSHED books?

and many more I am certain.
