Originally built in Germany. They were common as muck, we got the originals from there.

Probably just the effect in the photos but can you dim circuit 1 at all?

Yes, I agree, they are only 3 volt LED's through a resistor, so I might try another resistor in the circuit later.

I'm enjoying the progress again Andy. The lights are looking good. I reckon that cottage needs a ladder to get to the pub though!

A Firemans pole for going down might be quicker, but not  to sure about getting back up when pissed though.😆

That pub looks like its the centre of the red light district! What are you modelling here - a Cornish village of ill repute.

You'd better rename that pub 'The Tart and Vicar'!

More to the point perhaps, how do you get in? There’s no gate in the front wall and there’s no side access either. Perhaps the local Council doesn’t want it to become a house of ill repute and has blocked access?

Hopefully, subject to planning permission. there will be steps up from the end at some point. At the moment the Council are on Summer recess, and the builder that was going to do it, is still in the Pub on a lock in.😅

Do they bounce Paul? My single one doesn't, the Junction one has a box underneath, with buttons and twirly bits for various adjustments, so must be something fairly new I guess.

its so much easier as I can turn the boards onto their backs and stand up and do it.

It’s the only way I know.

(Not quite true, I crawled around under boards until I was 18, haven’t done it for 45+ years.)

Paul.

Still in the box Andy but the instructions say they do. I havent fitted them yet as I need to get 12v DC power down the layout. Currently the connections only carry controlled 12V DC and 20V AC for the point motors. Each board has its own CDU as the switches are on the board where the points are located. I have found a transformer that will take 20V AC anc convert to 12V DC (its designed for cars apparently) and will use that. The aim is to minimise across board wiring as I dont run DCC. If I did it would be a darn sight easier!!!!!

Absolutely. The stage at which working on the layout stops and running trains takes over. That is why i have not wired my track yet!

So don’t expect much scenery on Heath Town!
