scottrains29
Still no XC power cars to haul my XC SD MK3 rake. These go for crazy prices on eBay and are in high demand. It's interesting the sound fitted HST pack is only £20 more per powercar than the non sound HST packs.

'CHARD
If a bubble-car is a Bo-Bo (clue, it isn't), why isn't a two-car DMU a Bo-Bo+Bo-Bo? Come on, these are schoolboy errors, must do better. 😆 If they were doing the streamlined Tyne + Wear PTE Sentinel, I'd be in for six of those. Ho hum.... 1 1 1

Wrong nose style for the number again, standard approach for railroad though. Seems daft given there were plenty of centre head code 37s in Loadhaul 1 1 1 1
RMweb Premium PhilJ W Posted January 10, 2023 RMweb Premium Share Posted January 10, 2023 I note that the London Transport Sentinel is correctly sans buffers. Any chance of the match truck? 3

AKA (in some quarters) the 'attract youngsters into the affordable end of the hobby' set. I think new starters deserve the respect that accuracy represents, but then it's hardly aimed at me and what do I know? 1

RMweb Gold adb968008 Posted January 10, 2023 RMweb Gold Share Posted January 10, 2023 (edited) R30095 LNER HST…. 43238 the NRM power car, after it was debranded and released from Craigentinny on 15th November 2019 and ran for a month before withdrawal on 15th December 2019. it seems an odd choice. With the guizillions of discount lner mk3’s about, I cant help thinking this is poor substitute for either a repeat LNER full livery, or EMR branded ones. it went on to run for another year with EMR, which would be much more interesting imo. 60800
I'm amazed by the lack of an LNER Claret and white class 91. 43238 in flying tomato condition is welcome, but I do wish they would have stuck EMR logos on instead. Cheers, 60800 2

Perhaps that's why they've done it this way, two contrasting East Coast PCs and a bite at the EMR cherry using an aftermarket decal supplier. 2

Which I would do if I didn't already have the NRM version of 43238. When the East Midlands power cars arrive at least one will be getting a renumber and both will have EMR logos. They did R3802 for that already, which gives you 2 full LNER swoosh liveried ones to go at. You could even do Colas with that set too. Since Apr 2021 43238 sits at Papworth growing weeds until the inevitable. (flickr url not mine) Edited January 10, 2023 by adb968008
