chaz
Good to see that your model of Woolwinder doesn't have those soppy mini smoke deflectors. Fitted after your period, thank goodness. Very convincing finish on the loco and tender - oily wheels and motion, gleaming paint and sooty front end. Just the job! Chaz

RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted September 22, 2018 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted September 22, 2018 Two more shots of the Scotsman. RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted September 23, 2018 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted September 23, 2018 Before I continue my debate with the flat earth society, all waving their "no change" banners, we will look at the 3.58pm local to Grantham. The filthy loco almost merges with the gloom behind it, and it doesn't improve much from this angle either. What this does show is the difficulty caused by the angle of the sun at this time of year.
rockershovel
Arf, Arf!!!!!! C. Don’t know about my gran taking the crew(e) for a test run, but I certainly had an aunt who was regarded as having abundantly contributed to Anglo-American goodwill.... rockershovel
The buildings behind the water tower are still extant, in various uses. The foundations of the water-tower and coal-staithes contributed for many years, to the general “Paul Nash” condition of the old car park! RMweb Premium great northern Posted September 23, 2018 Author RMweb Premium Share Posted September 23, 2018 One more look at the A2/1 as it sidles off towards Grantham. while into Platform 6 comes a KX goods- York parcels, seen from the loading dock by another idiot who likes shooting into bright sunlight. Nothing done today, owing to sinusitis. Haven't had it for years, so I'd forgotten how nasty it can be.

RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted September 24, 2018 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted September 24, 2018 9F time again this morning. Two more angles on its progress into Platform 6. Sorry about the splodge in the sky. The latest version of Paint.Net no longer allows me to remove stuff like that once I have added the sky layer, and it can be very difficult to see before I do that. This one works a lot better anyway.

RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted September 24, 2018 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted September 24, 2018 Infected sinuses, so strong antibiotics, and patience required while they get to work. Patience also required at the golf club. "Will you call a Special General meeting?" "No, because there is no need for one". "We want to hear why you are doing this, and then we'll decide whether to let you do it" "No you won't, as you have delegated powers to the Main Committee". "Ridiculous!" "OK, go read the Club rules please" Later...... "Oh yes, you're right, but will you call a meeting anyway" "Why?" So we can decide whether to let you do it". I despair. At PN, for a while, nothing was stirring. But before long there was a cacophony of wheezing and clanking, and another WD duly appeared.

It''s just up the road from the Golf Club, however and I quote from HMP website :- "Whatton is a category C prison which holds adult male sex offenders". Sorry "G", No offence intended. RMweb Premium Popular Post great northern Posted September 25, 2018 Author RMweb Premium Popular Post Share Posted September 25, 2018 (edited) Those are strong antibiotics! At the moment I have even worse glue brain than before I started taking them. I'm sure things will improve. Our man, having first obtained permission of course, has got a new angle by standing between the tracks in the bay. Then by moving backwards a few yards, he could get WD and 9F in shot together.
