Not railway related but might be useful

Aldi have 32Gb Micro SD HC Class 10 cards @£12.99

Includes adapter for standard size.

Just checked one it seems to be OK and data transfer is greater than 10Mb/s

I still get daily advent eMails from them - mostly N gauge of late though

I signed up to their mailing list ages ago and have never had a single email from them - advent or otherwise.

And £5 off for MasterCard customers with code PRICELES5 on spends over £40

Can't be used on the discounted Tornado, unfortunately.

Cleefy,

Just a thought - did you use the activation email link they send you to confirm that the 'sign up' is not being done by bulk scammer?

I didn't receive mails until I'd done that.

Hope that helps?

Thanks for the suggestion but I've not even had an activation link! Tried signing up again this morning and nothing as of yet, and there's nothing in the spam folder either :scratchhead:

Ok then if you sign up as a new member on Top Cashback you'll get £7.50 cashback on an Amazon spend worth more than £7.50. If you happen to go down this route, I'd appreciate if you could use my referral code below:

http://www.topcashback.co.uk/ref/sub39h

Once you've signed up and logged in, go to the link topcashback.co.uk/amazon-promotions

It's a brilliant site if you've not used it. No scams or junk mail, just cashback for things you are going to buy anyway, including utilities and train tickets.

Perhaps not for serious modellers but this Hornby Majestic set is discounted to £199 (£340 at hattons).

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hornby-Majestic-E-Link-Gauge-Electric/dp/B00BUKPXU6/ref=sr_1_5?s=toys&ie=UTF8&qid=1417946795&sr=1-5&keywords=Hornby

Down to £249.99 today, which is still a good deal if you have any small relatives that need indoctrinating into the ways of Model Railways.

More like indoctrinating into the ways of DCC. Much better to put the money towards track and rolling stock than a control system thats arrived 10 years too late...

A heads up on an on line 99p store here http://just99.co.uk/. Everything 99p +postage of course.

I have no connection with this enterprise :)

Tony

Some useful items but check other stores

e.g. These are £1 for a pack of 6 and 3 packs for £2 in Poundland

http://just99.co.uk/products/28072-02,mini-plastic-food-storage-boxes-contains-with-pink-lids-pack-of-6

Poundland also do packs of 8 for £1 but not 3 for 2!

Just cleared out my local IKEA of the following selling for £1.75 for just under a big tub nearly 1 1/2 lb in weight.

Loads of colours and grades, but the black and grey in fine is perfect ballast.

Sand and coal size loads as well.

They were selling it in the flower section.

Thanks for this, it made my being dragged around Ikea Delft yesterday worthwhile. Also they were euro 1.99 which is about 1.57 in proper money.
