Just ordered mine over the phone as the web site has been playing up, it was saying no items in basket, when I'd clicked twice. Then on looking in the basket the correct amount was there. The very helpful operator mentioned it was playing up too. Why on earth does the text appear as silver on blue, the only way to read it is to highlight it??

Anyway sorted now, but it does get frustrating.

For those eagerly awaiting their pre-booked tickets: mine has just arrived. Let patience and anticipation prevail. [Note: you would think that a hobby like ours teaches you patience but it ain't necessarily so]

Show tickets booked, train tickets booked, now just that hill to tackle! :)

Tom.

There are free busses for the hill. If you're getting the U/G to Wood Green, cross the main road outside the stationa nd the bus stop is opposite on the road up to t'palace. It also calls at Alexandra Palace station on the way up. Several busses/coaches usually, no problems in the mornings.. sometimes a little sporadic in the afternoon on the way down[in my experience]

If anyone needs an easy route , try the bus from Finsbury Park station. Stop B at the Wells Terrace end of the station (ie west of the ECML, the Tube entrance). Bus W3 takes about 20 mins to reach Ally Pally, stops outside the door, no hill to climb.

Currently planning social tactics for the Friday and Saturday evenings once we have braved getting to and on the North Circular back to the hotel in Chingford/ Walthamstow. The GBG app is not really coming up with anything inspirational, may have to be a quick dart down to Liverpool St to find something, plus a curry on Brick Lane !

As for the show itself we appear to be quite near the Bachmann Scrum stand in the great hall, hope it stands up to the initial push on Saturday am.

Found my ticket waiting me on the door mat when I got home just now, buried under the Council Tax bill!!

Looking forward to this as always, shopping list is being drawn up and wallet is prepped for the pain...

If you are looking for good beer try the relativley new craft Beer Co in Leather Lane not to far from Faringdon station - has a huge range of ales and foreign beers on draft, or head to Borough market near London Bridge. You have the Market Porter, The Rake, Southwark Tavern and the Wheatsheaf, all doing good ales. The Rake also specialises in forgein darft beer.

Hi Andy... Will you have 5 minutes on the Saturday to come and say hi... It would be good to meet you after so many years of posting on your forum..

I'll be demonstrating on the Scale7 stand rather than with the independent demonstrators..

DEMU's arrived on Saturday - we are stands 191 and 192 IIRC. If you need any cover then I am sure we will be able to help out.

Cheers, Mike

Thanks Mike, I might take you up on that offer if I get there, but, I'm still none the wiser as to wether I am attending - I won't go and buy the resin until I hear that I'm actually invited...

opps, turns out it appears that I've entirely imagined my invite - how embarrising! Fortunately there has been a drop out, and they have found space for me and my rubber gloves, so I will be going to Ally Pally after all! :D
