He probably paid more for one than the other and is trying to recoup his costs.

PART OF A SMALL RECENTLY DISCOVERED COLLLECTION OF AS NEW AIRFIX AND MAINLINE ROLLING STOCK AND LOCO'S

Looks like he bought a job lot somewhere (probably cheap?) The photo appears to be the same for both coaches!!

AFAIK Kings only ran with Collett tenders* in normal service, nothing else.  (Cue lots of pics from GW experts with 'prototype for everything' references)

*(Am excluding locomtive exchanges and oil burning trials here)

AFAIK the couplings are different between  BR and Collett tenders - The locomotive footplate.overhangs the former type. Kings are also driven from the proper right hand side.

WIth so many "upside down" pictures I was going to make a joke about this lot being in Australia ... then found it actually was.

Turning upside down has also had other consequences, turning into Hornsby trains (twice - you can forgive 1 typo) and increasing its size to O gauge

Perhaps Bruce has the whole Hornsby Range?  That's just the way it is...

Actually since the seller is from Sydney, Australia, its not that unusual. Why, because there is a suburb called Hornsby, so naturally they make the mistake.

 Sometimes words fail me

YOU ARE BUYING A RARE  & HIGHLY SOUGHT AFTER BOXED Hornby RAILWAYS MODEL No.R.357  BR  TYPE2 CLASS AIA-AIA No.D5572 DIESEL LOCO  FINISHED IN  RARE VERSION BR "ELECTRIC BLUE " LIVERY,  IN ORIGINAL EXCELLENT CONDITION  WITH ADDITIONAL FITTED LED RUNNING LIGHTS.

Just because its blue doesn't make it "Electric Blue" or "Highly sort after" or "Rare" also badly fitting HUGE leds does not enhance somethings value nor should you call it original or excellent condition

This one seems to have the same problem but a little more grip on reality, to paraphrase Oliver Hardy "a little research goes a loooong way"

Another one for the serious collector, You wouldn't want to miss out on this one (or several others he's got). But what really caught my eye was the last, added, information:

He's got another DCC ready wagon here:

How long before our other regulars copy this?

He's also got a Lima Crab which he claims is "fully DCC ready", but, unlike the wagons, I'm certain this one isn't!

Is being a 10 foot wheelbase P.O. wagon what's "RARE" about it?

Pity I might have been interested. Montpelier is a couple of stops away from my boyhood local station (Clifton Down).

It's also on a steel underframe which although not unknown is certainly not typical of any P.O.s. Basically the chassis is completely wrong and I am pretty sure the body was also stretched to fit the chassis!
