RMweb Premium Sasquatch Posted August 26, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 26, 2013 They are not loco crews ,but look like RAF to me!. RAF and Luftwaffe, wouldn't want those near my heavy goods engines!
RMweb Premium Sasquatch Posted August 26, 2013 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 26, 2013 (edited) I just checked hattons website and they have a box of 48 Luftwaffe ground personel for 4.40. They might not be too bad if some heads were swapped with Dapols workmen! Edited for bad english and punctuation. Lady_Ava_Hay
It's not only ebay... This might be an allusion to the undoubted fact that if it is anything like as good as the Tamiya tanks, it will be worth every penny. The list price of the fully featured radio control model of this particular tank by Tamiya is somewhat more than that. I have a Tamiya tank ( a Pershing ) that I paid £300 for, added a battery pack and a charger and have had a lot of fun with it indoors and out. It has sound, a firing main gun and machine gun, working brake light and marvellous detail. A real boy's toy although I wouldn't allow anyone under 15 anywhere near it let alone operate it.

C&WR
I reckoned it had to be at Woolwich and it is, at Woolwich Arsenal Station. Thanks for posting. Pete. Good spot, Pete! I had cause to go via there fairly regularly about seven years back and that brickwork caught my eye straight away. Can't believe this was one of the only pics I could trawl up. Having studied Russian at School & travelled in the Soviet Union before the wall came down & subsequently worked in the Former Yugoslav Republics this kind of Stakhanovite imagery is very familiar. A favourite is this one (the legend reads, "after work, to the stadium") - to bring this back OT I wonder if these are for sale on eBay: I paid a handful of Kopecks for mine in Leningrad in 1988... Heavy load transporter???? It looks suspiciously like a molten iron carrier or 'bullet', used around the steelworks and very rarely on the mainline these days. The ones I used to see at BSC Ravenscraig were in that sort of condition though. A complete wagon in it's own right not a wagon carrying a tank.... Dave.
