Best order some yellow paint in then?

Mike.

Nope - no yellow paint will be harmed in using these.

Got to stick them on first....

After a close check of the etches, it appears I may have c*cked up a couple of dimensions.

I've checked my notes and may have added a number twice, instead of once - DOH!.

Time to redraw and get etched again.....

We live and learn.

Hi Mick,

What is the process for getting parts etched up, please? (Eventually) I will be needing to get steps/handrails and meshes made up for a project and I'd like to know how you go about it.

Cheers,

Marcus

Hi Marcus,

There's a lot of useful info on the PPD website.

See the FAQ and artwork guide sections.

A quick visit to the work circular saw (Proxxon FET) and I have a kit of parts to reassemble.

The joints need tidying up and then they're not too far off the paintshops.

Aha, just found this, if you these available I’d be interested for a test train.

Cheers

Mark

They will be when I get round to redrawing them (the test etches were the wrong size)

After seeing this, it was only a matter of time before I sourced another HTA for chopping.....

(Please - no debate here about rail being eco etc....)

Have you got the colour sorted? If not I think I have the RAL codes somewhere.

Not yet - I have asked questions in a couple of places.

Steve at @railtec-models has done the business with the decals so I'd like to tie down the paint shade soon.

I'm sure I have it on my work laptop, will take a look in the morning and drop you a line. I've hopefully got a 7mm HTA kit coming my way to do one in the next couple of weeks all being well.

You lucky OO gauge folks getting stuff out of Steve, spoiled!

I used Pantone 361 on mine (because it's what I had), and it's not quite right, a bit light, but not a million miles off! Look forward to seeing yours Mick, as it'll look wayyyy less ropey than mine! :D
