81A Oldoak
To see my signal coming together check out Jon Fitness' thread in permenant way signalling and infrastructure. It's really looking the part & if you like signalling its well worth a look any way, Go now and see!!!! This is a splendid layout and I am enjoying following progress. The pits are very impressive. I agree with your comment about signalling. John Fitness is a superb practitioner of the art and S&T is an aspect of the hobby that I particularly enjoy. Attached are some shots of my scratchbuilt GWR 7mm scale signal box that appeared in the Railway Modeller a few years ago. Looking at it now, the interior needs papers, log books and wall notices to bring it to life. I also have a signalman awaiting painting. The signal was built from a Scale Signal Supply kit. steve fay
Painting the main station and fitting the canopy. Adding the tiles to the goods shed roof, I had to go back over this with super glue and a cock tail stick to get all the tiles to stick flat. Mike Taylor will paint it now to blend it in with the other buildings. A view across the shed were my turn table is temporarily in place. A few weeks ago I finished the track laying around it. Unfortunatley it had to be taken up in order to get the motor mechanism on to the base.

steve fay
No mate no discounts, I've seen his stuff and he makes a lovely job of it. Just thought I would give him a shout. On another note I'm hoping I've got some glass coming for my railway room tomorrow.
Kev_Lewis
Sorry Steve. I'm such a cynic sometimes. I ordered some transfers from Railtec to do my steam roller wagon. His transfers are very good indeed.
steve fay
Canton was alive with the throb of a Diesel engine this evening, visiting locos from Two tone Green (Andy) I have to apologise for the lighting I had three house lamps going but it wasn't enough, With the room under going conversion Im a bit sparse on creature comforts!! Still they sounded great. Edited August 29, 2013 by steve fay
two tone green
Fantastic evening Steve, thanks. The Brit is stunning, very envious. Sorry about the lack of buffers at one end of the Peak. The buffer beam is even held on with blue tac. Binding issues with the pony wheels at the back of the buffer beam. Work in progress. Will muster a gang of locos and be back after Telford. Warn the neighbours, it could be noisy, Thanks again, excellent layout.
two tone green
A few photos from this evenings visit taken with my Iphone. I have a good one of your Brit but the file size is too big to upload so will sort that out once I am home and can get on a proper computer.
