.. Early Production Tiger 1 - a big beasty even in 1/48th Scale..

I'd guessed it was something like that - but I can't work out what the thing that looks like a cocktail stick stuck to the front is...

It's actually cowering in fear of the Tiger..

Ah, now I see it!  Cunningly lined up with the inside edge of the left "front track flap", it confused a viewer who is (possibly) trying to see out a nasty year in an alcohol-induced fog...  I've built similar "back in the day",  but nowhere near that well...

Alcohol helps steady the hand ;) :jester:

Here's the other side and the offending cocktail stick still trying to escape..

One for @Ian Hargrave as I know he remembers well the sepia prints that used to adorn coach compartments, in the good old days.

Nice coupling hook on the tender buffer beam of 5391 - I wonder who fitted that (certainly wasn't Dapol)? ;)

Any tips? Or was it as simple as drilling a hole and filling a hook? Lord knows why that was omitted..

Just simply drilling a hole (in the right place) and fitting a Hornby Dummy Screwlink hook.

It was probably omitted because it blew the budget for the loco ;)
