If I'd know how close you were yesterday, how very close, you could have had a guided tour of your backscene!  ;)

I thought of you CK as we caught our train from Totnes. The scenery did look familiar.

Well, it would have beaten vacuuming the upstairs carpets...! At Buckfastleigh station, you were probably only 2 miles from where the photos were taken!

Aha. now the thread is back to normal, time for Rhino's....

post-13158-0-31787200-1407092001_thumb.jpg

Well, it's green, it's British built, the timeframe is about right and it has a Rhino. Perfect for Brent.

My daughter found it herself and came to get me!

Can I squeeze a few more photos in before we go off topic again.Incidently , in all the years I've visited Torbay I never knew this place existed till last week.Worth a visit when open.Even had a Coventry built Humber fighting vehicle outside.http://www.brixhambatteryheritagegroup.co.uk/

Ooooooooh, nice tank!

I've just finished weathering a 1:16 RC tank for a mate. Although it's German and has an elephant on it.

Photo's on my workbench thread, or I can pop a couple up on here if anybody would like to see.

I have to agree and I particularly like the illusion of depth in this one even though there are no trains on view:

I almost feel like trepassing across the tracks to give those woods a thorough exploration

That's a nice thing to say and now it's a shame to add trains to the scene as shewn here with a busy period for Tigley Junction. ;)

I've also been reading my well worn book by Peter Kay 'Rails along the sea wall' so expect an inspired photo or two soon.

Question for the GWR collective:

What other locos had chimnies and domes the same external dimensions as those found on the 1366 dock tank?

I think a visit to the trade stands at Telford next month might pay dividends.I agree with Warren Shepherd as an option as mentioned on Pencarrow.

.......... Tigley Junction signalman Bert Grump might be concerned about the wildlife.

Especially for Sierd's daughter.

I've not shewn much of this area before but there's no excuse now with a decent backscene.I particularly like the way Captain Kernow has done the lane disappearing in the background.Scots Pines are quite common in South Devon as there are quite a few in Goodrington.I've added a couple here to my scene.

Bert needs to get his lunch as he has been given a treat today by his swmbo. ;)
