Still in service in 2022, Direct Rail Services 37425 Sir Robert McAlpine (previously D6992 and 37292) passes through Deighton on 31st January 2022 working light locomotive as 0E36, 06.35 Crewe Gresty Bridge to Doncaster Belmont Down Yard.

It then went up to Tyne Yard (IIRC) with an engineering train.

On 12th March 2022 Direct Rail Services 37218 double-headed with 37425 ‘Sir Robert McAlpine/Concrete Bob’ approach Marsden, heading west away from Huddersfield along the Colne Valley, with Pathfinder Tours ‘The Pennine Wayfarer’ rail tour.

The rail tour originated at Bristol Temple Meads (06:19) with Bolton (15:32) as its destination.  By this point the rail tour had circumnavigated West Yorkshire along the Calder Valley via Hebden Bridge and the Huddersfield line from Bradley Junction and was now heading back towards Manchester to reach its destination.

Out for an outing on 14th April 2022, Locomotive Service Limited's 37688 'Great Rocks' double-headed with D6851 at Deighton, working from Crewe Holding Sidings to York Parcels Sidings.

The pair were booked to work later from York to Lincoln, on a rail tour that originated at Edinburgh.

By strange coincidence., D6835 here became 37888 and just today was pootling around Kent apparently.  That one was definitely not built on a Friday afternoon...
