A couple of workings from the past week.

 

Recently repainted Freightliner 66605 passing through Deighton on 21st September 2022 with 6M42, York Yard South to Basford Hall, empty box wagons...

...on their way to being transferred from Direct Rail Services to GB Railfreight, debranded 66304 and 66305 lead 60056 at the head of 6E17, Liverpool Biomass Terminal to Drax Power Station, loaded biomass hoppers  approaching Brighouse on 24th October 2022.

I have just seen 60056 on her way to Toton with 66107 near Chesterfield

Also wearing a new coat of paint and now nameplates too, GBRf 66799 which was named 'Modern Railways Diamond Jubilee' in a ceremony held at Kidderminster on the Severn Valley Railway, on 27th September 2022.

The 66 left the SVR a couple of hours later, working light locomotive as 0Z98 to Bescot Down Side.

Always a good place for pics with those lights, incidentally 66620 was my passing out loco with DRS, the 20/37 I had on the job (Bridgwater flasks) failed and they had to hire in a freightliner 66 to haul the train back to crewe

Ironically the lights are there to illuminate the walking route which is flipping well overgrown with brambles now!

On long term hire to Direct Rail Services from DB Cargo, 66122 at Colne Bridge on 1st November 2022, heading towards Huddersfield working 4Z37 from Doncaster West Yard to Crewe Coal Sidings.
