I can't believe these are going for scrapping, a real change on the Mendip services is occurring. The AI ex Yeoman O&K hoppers are a few years older, so I'm surprised the LTFs are going first, but the O&Ks can't be far behind I fear?

Initially spotted from a bus, but awkwardly placed for photography, with the sun behind it as well and no time to wait for it to move up to within a better shooting distance. Toolstation, B&Q and Lidl's had to take priority.

I can't remember if I have uploaded these to this thread before. If I have and they didn't get swallowed in the sinkhole, I apologize. I used to travel to Hastings on Fridays quite frequently about ten years ago and often seemed to catch transfers in and out of St. Leonard's Engineering. There were many more 73s, but quite a few 66s turned up. Both came down the line from Tonbridge and reversed at Hastings.

Saturday 23rd. February, 2008 and 66238, 66100 & 66030 on a Margam - Eastleigh move, in advance of a weekend possession, pass a westbound 158839 at the site of the former Ely (Main Line) station............... where I started spotting in 1964, and the first loco in my book was Pannier, 3790 shunting the coal siding.

The second number was....92220, on an up fitted van train.

.

My photo.

Two Daventry to Cardiff Tescos trains a day running at the moment, guess they are short of toilet rolls in Wales?

This is the easy one to photograph

I take it the other one is loaded with tomatoes then, and runs under the cover of darkness.....
