Jack374
A few 'celeb' shed shots from me (or just interesting workings) from the last few weeks, predominantly around South Derbyshire. All photos from Flickr so click for more info. A relatively rare visit down here for PD Ports 66109 on steel to Toton: Unusual to find two sheds atop 4O95 'liner to Southampton, with orange 66413 tucked inside: Cemex livery 66780 on 6M83 to Bardon Quarry: DRS 66424 taking 4x MK2s and 37059 to Derby RTC for future Loram rail operations with the stock...the 37 was out with 37069 this week on training runs: After white 'Tube Map' livery 66721 failed, it was hauled dead on the rear of the 4E34 Southampton to Doncaster intermodal by 66775: Not that common to find a shed on 6M57 Lindsey to Kingsbury oil tanks, but EWS branded 66003 worked it last week: ...and shortly after 2 'Eurosheds' were hauled to Toton from Crewe with some 67s, having arrived a few weeks ago: This Monday produced another SWR class 701/0 (ten car) delivery, this time 66742 leading 701005 with 66770 tailing taking the unit from its makers at Derby Litchurch Lane (Bombardier) to Eastleigh T&RSMD: Finally, BR Large Logo GBRf 66789 heads onto the main at Stenson with the 6X01 new rails from manufacture at Scunthorpe to Eastleigh: At least now there are a few celebrity and colourful locos which makes seeing shed-hauled workings more interesting. Thanks, Jack.
RMweb Gold 4630 Posted July 26, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted July 26, 2020 After overnight engineering work between Horbury Junction, Wakefield and the former yard at Healey Mills, DB Cargo 66051 'Maritime Intermodal Four' passes Bradley Junction, Huddersfield on 26th July 2020 with 6T52, Healey Mills B Junction to Doncaster Up Decoy, via Marsden for the loco to run round. The working was 75 minutes early at this point, but I hadn't expected it to be held ½ mile further along at Heaton Lodge, which is where I was headed next to photograph a Grand Central working coming off the Calder Valley line. So, a couple more of 66051 which was now at a stand at the signal protecting Heaton Lodge East Junction where the Down L&Y Calder Valley line and Down Huddersfield line converge. GBRf 66724, appropriately named 'Drax Power Station', passing through Brighouse station on 26th July 2020 with 6E10, 11.25 Liverpool Biomass Terminal to Drax Power Station, loaded biomass hoppers.

RMweb Gold 4630 Posted August 2, 2020 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 2, 2020 (edited) The regular Sunday moves by Freightliner between Crewe Basford Hall and Hunslet Yard, Leeds often throw up something different. Perhaps just a single wagon hauled by one or two Freightliner class 66s on their way to or from maintenance at Midland Road. The working on 2nd August 2020 however was in a completely different league. I can recall seeing three Freightliner locos in a single light engine movement before along the Huddersfield line but five, plus assorted intermodal flat wagons, was a new one for me. The working was 4Z25, 15.01 Hunslet Yard to Basford Hall SSM and for the record the Freightliner 66s in order were; 66559 66957 66548 66547 66545 Edited August 2, 2020 by 4630

I’m not local but follow a YouTuber whose videos regularly show this trip, and as you say it’s usually a few locos and a couple of wagons. Here’s a link to their video: Twelve intermodal wagons too - quite modellable! Although it might turn a few heads at an exhibition. Jack.

Jack374
A few more from me from the last few weeks. All pics on Flickr so click for more info. Colourful 66415 towing 90014 to Crewe: Being passed by 66554 on a 'liner: And the other way the day after was 90047 on it’s final voyage in grey: 66727 arriving at East Midlands Gateway in the first few weeks of a new GBRf flow to the terminal: A heavily delayed 66429 on the 6X41 Dagenham to Garston cars, which never usually runs in daylight through Lichfield: A rare move yesterday of T&T Freightliner 66s escorting two vehicles from (I believe) the HOBC to Derby RTC, presumably for some sort of work to be carried out: Finally, some celeb and more mundane EWS sheds from a mad half an hour at Stenson this lunchtime: Thanks, Jack.
