Fantastic photos! Well done!

To my knowledge 501 and 532 have had their bogies overhauled so far and 517 and 523 are the third and fourth locos to receive the same treatment.

I think one of the new sheds (the furthest to the back of the depot) is going to be specifically dedicated for overhauling the 66s bogies.

This is one of the two new structures to be built, it has a crane built inside of it.

All fantastic photos! Well done!

The new buildings are really taking shape now. I was looking from a passing train the other week.

Haven't heard that 596 has had a bogie overhaul but it could be possible. 501 and 532 were their for several weeks whilst undergoing theirs.

Nice to see Powerhaul 414 in one of the above photos as well.

596 might have just had a proper wash with its bogies, the Body is of concern though its dented if you look at the front of the engine room door its out of shape by a good few inches

Don't think so, if you look at the complete loco, that entire shed section has been taken off and placed back on but has yet to be resecured by its velcro pads and ty-raps.

You could be right CHARD, but The cant rail area looks like it is more or less inline the bottom half is out of line quite a lot, if the "shed" section is flexible then yes it just needs to be secured, I am definitely not an expert so I am probably wrong :) I will have another look at it in the morning.

do Freightliner swap the bodies around a lot, These two would be a nice garden shed :)

66557 heads west along the Calder Valley at Ravensthorpe on 19th May 2016 with 4M21, 0905 Hunslet Yard to Crewe Basford Hall.  I assume that this is a working of empty HHAs to Crewe for storage or possible future aggregate use.  It's certainly not a regular working.

Fantastic photo!

Welcome back to 66557! It's been out of use at Leeds Midland Road since last year. I noticed either yesterday or Tuesday that it was at the front of the depot, whereas for the past few months it's been kept in the new sidings at the back of the depot.

It's looking absolutely immaculate!
