Hi Dave, what's strange about the leading vehicle there? Have they created an open verandah?

47628 at Ribblehead  with the diverted 1S74 1015 Euston-Stranraer 21/02/1987 the 47's a bit blurred but the length of train is pretty impressive considering all you get to Stranraer now is 2 car units..

Briefly checked on Huddersfield Viaduct, 47828 accelerates towards the station with 5Z42, 15:38 Cleethorpes to Crewe CS on 28th September 2014.

 

 

 

With 47818 on the rear.

47805 accompanied by 975025 'Caroline' working 2Z02, 08:47 Crewe to Crewe, after reversal at Hebden Bridge on 2nd October 2014.

47790 and 47828 on the Northern Belle 5 October 2014 at Midland road

 

 

 

And a little earlier in the day 47828 crosses Bradley Junction with 5Z88, 10:01 Crewe CS to Leeds.

 

 

 

With 47790 bringing up the rear.

 

 

 

I think the Northern Belle livery really suits the coaching stock and the 47.

I do too, but I would have the "Northern Belle" logo in the middle.

Yes, I agree it would be better if 'Northern Belle' was central on the side of the loco, although they might need to reposition the nameplate then as well.
