RMweb Premium Gary H Posted July 30, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted July 30, 2014 Mick, maybe you can explain this. On this picture of 47790, http://www.wnxx.com/14/1407/290714/47790B.htm Its obviously a 47 but it has class 57 style radiator grills. Certainly a new one on me! Are there any others so treated?? (47's).

Alcanman
A couple of Intercity liveried 47s. Firstly, 47469 'Glasgow Chamber of Commerce', appropriately posing at Glasgow QS. Would make a good subject for a modelling project. and a matching Intercity Swallow livery 47851 / HST combo at Newcastle Central in 1999. RMweb Premium Phil Mc Posted August 27, 2014 RMweb Premium Share Posted August 27, 2014 A few close-ups of the new DRS livery. I rather like it, shame I've modelled this loco in the 'old' livery Cheers, Phil.
RMweb Gold colin penfold Posted August 28, 2014 RMweb Gold Share Posted August 28, 2014 Saw this livery on a new 68 at Norwich and it's quite interesting. The big central graphic would work on a vehicle with an obvious front and back, but to my eye doesnt work on a diesel because it's too "directional". Arty farty mode off.
